This is the best car I've owned- and the most expensive one to run. It's suffered lots of electrical glitches- sat nav mast has failed, window motor failed, parking sensors failed and the engine management software failed, but nothing stops the car from moving! It's a beast and I love the power output, the torque and the ride quality. It's build quality is second to none. I've owned it for seven years and it's taken me all over the continent in all weathers. The Quattro system with it's ride settings is brilliant and the level of equipment is second to none. It's a first generation Allroad and I think it looks the part - bulletproof, but stylish- much more so than the new versions. It's a marvellous load carrier and it fits in really well with an active lifestyle. I like to trek,ski, cycle etc and everything goes in with space left over. It's a comfortable, sophisticated, stylish, genuine off-roader and I wouldn't swap it, even for a Range Rover, but it's not cheap to run, especially with a 2.7 petrol engine. Would I buy it again? Definitely, although I think the diesel version is probably the more sensible option. Love the car.

The A6 Allroad is an outstanding estate car which delivers an extremely safe and comfortable drive on the road, coupled with good off road capability for use when on field sports such as fishing & shooting.

Good, safe, reliable and sophisticated vehicle that is slightly disappointing in its ride quality and handling; sometimes the steering feels rather heavy, which may be related to the all-wheel drive?
