My car was great to drive when I first bought it second hand few years ago. Then it was one thing after another. For ages my car went into limp-home mode and the fault was traced to the high pressure fuel pump. The car was just out of warranty. Because of the work over the top of my engine a coolant pipe and the tank split. Both been replaced and the pipe was modified. Since then it has had two recalls both software messages for low coolant and slipping clutch. It has had the clutch replaced under warranty. Still to this day it's losing quite a bit of engine coolant. I can't wait to get rid.

For the 4 ish months i have owned my car it has been very reliable appart from a weird noise around the alternator area which is getting looked at soon.

I have had no probs with my car, it starts on the button first time, no probs with brakes or body . Interior is comfortable

Since I have had this all it has done to it is normall service and it's sailed through it's MOT's without a problem. It get sused during the week and occansionally at weekends and has not let me down

In the time I've had the car, the front drivers electric window motor went, the heater control has been replaced twice, and one engine sensor has been replaced. The brakes discs / pads have been replaced, but it's got the original clutch and exhaust . Not bad for a car of it's age.

Always starts first time. Road holding is good. Remote locking is secure. Lighting is very reliable. Excellent braking system.

Overall I am quite satisfied with the car, but it has the problem that the leads/plugs are immediately below the washers and keep getting clogged up with water, I have now had to replace the coil pack twice in three years. This is a real bug.

Had complete central locking failure which then fixed itself, intermittent lack of power both when accelerating and driving on the motorway.

ONLY HAD A PROBLEM CAUSED BY CONTAMINATED FUEL, WHICH BY THE FUEL SYSTEM DESIGN WAS EASY(ISH) TO FIX MYSELF. a FEW MINOR ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS (BLOWN BULBS AND INSTRUMENT LIGHTS ) WHICH WERE PROBABLY TRIGGERED BY A REAR END SHUNT!

Considering its age, the Focus is brilliant! I always have complete faith that the car will start first thing in the morning, and it has never let me down.
