Thought kia was cheap prior to purchase, definitely changed my mind and would recommend the pro creed to anyone. No rattles in the interior either compared to my older renault megane.

Very comfortable and reliable to date (9000 miles). Car is too low geared (20 mph /1000 revs in 5th) and fuel economy much worse than official figures despite driving economically . With previous cars i have always bettered official figures. Claimed 46.3 mpg impossible to achieve. 36 -38 is as good as it gets - not good enough!

Cost £2,500 less than buying another megane with similar spec, plus far better warranty! Supplying dealer after sales is terrible, local kia dealer is 1st class

The kia ceed is a well designed and well built car ideal for journeys i do the engine is quiet for a diesel and a strong performer the car is very comfortable on long journeys and very easy to drive and very economical i have recommended it to my friends and several have also purchased one and been very happy with it.

Since 2009 mine has done only 25,000 miles but is used on a daily basis. It's Black and the paint marks easily but cleans up well. It has steel wheels as opposed to alloys. Apart from being reliable its not without fault. Unlike my new Ceed it has a proper torque convertor autobox. Drive this spiritedly and it goes through front tyres quite rapidly. Discs and pads wear quite quickly . It's been recalled for petrol tank straps front drop links and the transmission radiator has been replaced under the 7 year warranty. Despite the drop links being replaced 3 years ago the car failed its last MOT on one defective drop link. The repair was nonetheless cheap. The handbrake becomes less and less effective over time and requires regular maintenance. The interior on our One model is very plasticky and requires regular cleaning as does the cloth upholstery. Our car has been Waxoyled since we purchased it. Cars that are not protected will rust noticeably and front springs have been known to break. Kia has a cure for this if your car is still under warranty. I'm very familiar with all Kia cars as I have a part time job driving for a local franchise. The Ceed (all models ) is probably our most reliable car. Its unlikely to leave you stranded on the side of the road old or new. Go for the newest model you can afford especially if there's still some of the 7 year warranty remaining. Our facelift model is now out of warranty and would be very cheap on the used car market. We will keep it as its reliable and cheap to run. Its performance is not in the hot hatch category but it will press on when pushed and has pretty decent handling and will take four people in relative comfort. As a load carrier the rear seats all fold down easily so its carrying capacity is very good. To sum up it's reliable if not overly exciting transport. This is the same car as seen on old episodes of Top Gear as the reasonably priced car.

This is my second Kia, the first being a Carens. The Cee'd was just under a year old when we bought it. I use it for work and pleasure. I achieve around 50-55 mpg around town but have had 59.2 on a long run. It is spacious and comfortable in the front. The boot is large and the engine is responsive on acceleration. Service costs through Kia dealers is expensive but they don't all charge the same amount and I recently used a local garage that did not affect my warranty and paid £154 for the 40,000 mile service. I would certainly purchase another Kia. The only problem that I have had was last week when I needed to replace the fuel filter which is apparently a common occurrence on modern diesels with 50k miles on the clock.

suffered 1 small electrical earth fault. brake master cylinder replaced and the drivers sunvisor replaced twice but still does not stay up properly. the ICE had to be replaced due to a fault

The kia has been a revelation. Good performance and yet still very economical. It has never given me any problems at all. The supplying dealer was great to do business with. Definitely the best motoring decision i have made for years.

Far higher quality and build than the badge image suggests. The facelift cee'd is a great car for the money. I've previously owned premium brands like merc, bmw, volvo, saab and range rover. We're now own two new kia's and just as happy with these.

Aside from a problem with the suspension when the car was about a year old, it has run perfectly well with no faults.

A really good car. Gives you the feeling that it's well designed and built and that the 7 year warranty won't be needed to be used much. It has a few rough edges but is great value for money. Passengers are pleasantly surprised at the room and comfort. Engine oil level never moves and it averages well over 50 mpg so really inexpensive motoring.

Despite the lack of a major brand badge my kia ceed has met my expectations of matching a similar vw/audi model. The audio and steering controls work brilliantly, the dash and dials look great, the ipod connection is a great bonus too. Dealer experience has been good so far and 7 year warranty is another bonus. The only real item i miss is a bluetooth phone connection that is available on later models

Quite a good car for the money and more reliable than previous cars i have owned. The long warranty is a godsend! Fuel economy is nowhere near the official figures and servicing costs are more expensive than average. Gearbox is clunky when cold and brakes make a grinding noise when cold. The design and layout suits me perfectly and insurance and road tax are very reasonable. This is my first kia and probably won`t be my last.

Only had it a few weeks, but all is good so far. Five years ago i wouldn't even have considered a kia; this time, the cee'd sw was top of my list.

The car is comfortable to drive, more so than i thought. I really don't think the car should have 6 gears, with only 89bhp it really does struggle. I have even looked at getting an ecu chip for it as it really does not pull well in gears. Although we were needing something that would do more mpg than our 2005 civic vtec sport (old shape) it just isn't pokey enough and really isn't any fun to drive.I Don't expect blistering speeds just a bit of go would be nice from time to time! I do however like the look of the car and heating is great and seating is comfortable both front and rear. Mpg so far is good 54mpg can't complain at that am sure this will improve as the miles go on - only 1200 so far! The boot, i feel is very spacious and is more than ample for the size of car and especially for what we use it for. Window washers are situated under the top of the bonnet and even in these temperatures rarely freeze which is great! Overall slightly less than average in my eyes it really is just the 89bhp that lets it down i think kia have really tried to go over the top eco with this car it just doesnt quite come off for them!

Does everyting that could reasonably be expected of a car. Rides and handles as well, if not better than more "established" models from major european manufacturers. The amount of kit that comes as standard is a bonus (as is a 7 year warrenty), but means that it is around 25% cheaper than simalarly specced rivals.

Amazing value, as well built as a luxury german saloon. Easy to drive, brilliantly practical and 64mpg on a long journey. Kia has come a long way and my c'eed estate rivals an octavia in every respect

Exceeds all expectations. Very high build quality on facelift ceed - better than focus and in many ways better than the golf. Performance is amazing from a 1.6 diesel. A little noisy at high motorway speeds, but still quieter than a focus. It looks classy and only let down by the kia badge on the front! In the past i've owned £50k cars (like new range rover sport) and i'm just as happy in my ceed sw!!

The ceed is a good looking well equipped car with a seven year warranty that is a cheaper alternative to it's rivals i.e ford vauxhall etc.I Would not hesitate in having another one

Excellent value for money. High spec. Surprisingly good performance for a 1.6 diesel. Feels like a 2.0 or 2.2 litre. Very economical, if right foot is restrained. Plenty of legroom front and back, and excellent load carrying capabilities. This is my second new kia cee'd sw estate in 3 years.

Back in April 2015 I purchased a 2010 Kia Ceed 3 with the 1.6 diesel engine (I went for the 113bhp version simply because I wanted that extra power) . My current job involves me doing over 25000 miles per year so I wanted something that was cheap to run, maintain, tax and insure but at the same time be reliable. When I bought this car I was concerned that this thing would simply not be able to cover the distance without suffering some reliability issues, and was half expecting within a few months it would be replaced for something German. Over a year later and this car has not given me one single issue, it has quite simply been rock solid. At no point has this car worried me in the slightest. If I was the likes of Ford, Vauxhall, Citroen, Peugeot I would be really worried because I cannot see a reason why you would buy any of the above (Don’t forget the Kia 7 Year Warranty). Don’t get me wrong this car is not going to win awards for best in class for style and it does not set your heart on fire when you throw it into a bend but it is all in all a great car.

Within 8,000 miles the starter motor broke and within 16,000 an issue arose with the accelerator

Generally pleased but economy worse than figures led me to expect and not as economical as previous 1.9l skoda diesel. Minor logistical anachronisms ie switch placements, radio operation and computer not as user friendly as previous vehicle.

My is fantastic to drive, it is very deceiving as the interior is bigger than what it seems like from the outside. It is a comfortable drive whether it is a trip to do the shopping or a camping/caravan uk holiday in cornwall (i live in manchester). All in all i am very happy with it. I get a new car in july 2012, the only difference will be that i am going for the estate version of the cee'd.
