Very firm uncomfortable ride - far too hard and bouncy Very thirsty mercedes quote a combined fuel consumtion of 47mpg. The car had never achieved this it has averaged 33 mpg since new and has dropped to 21mpg with no city or rush hour use. Mercedes official figures seem like pure fraud to me

The car is perfectly adequate for what it is intended for. Fuel economy is above expectation, seats are very comfortable, handling is not very good.

The best a class yet. I have had numerous m-b models, even four a classes. It was a sensible downsize, as well as being very practical

Very good and the park assist is amazing! Performance wise much better than the three ford focuses that i previously had from motability. The a class was worth a bit extra money for the all round performance. Although the roadholding is not as good.

I have never owned a mercedes car before and what i like about the a class is that it is classy without being too ostentatious and over the top. The only real complaint is that the suspension is a touch on the hard side

Excellent design, beautifully made, easy and relaxing to drive in everyday conditions, very comfortable. Ride and steering could be better, servicing at franchised dealers is expensive but superb.

Expected better quality. Gearbox and suspension are below par for a benz. They advertise 40 mpg, but i average 34 mpg and i'm a very reasonable driver. Otherwise happy with the rest.

Good engine & auto gear box. Fast & economic for an auto easy to acheive 50+mpg.. I looks good & is deceptively spacious.

Sclass build quality , eclass space for less than £17k. will have to go for bclass next time as mb have ditched aclass for a bmw 1 series look alike in a bid for a younger audiance?. good luck mb!. Has the best seats since my old granada mk1 ghia. Hanbling ok even if it feels alittle high sided. Does everything a cclass does for £9k less!

I have found my car to extremly practice and nice to live with, every one whom ahs been in it and used it are very suprised how nice it is, how fast and comfortable it is. It is trully a great cat in london, and is good is good for long trips as well.

Third a class, all diesel,all very good. Styling looking dated now. Will order new a class if price is ok. Loyal to brand, dealers excellent.

Very good except for one niggling brake problem which hasn't been cured even though mercedes have changed the brake pads it still makes a noise as the wheels come to a halt. The noise can be worse in reverse.

Excellent for practicality. Cvt auto transmission is excellent and is one of the reason's i bought the car. Short and nippy in town driving. spacious inside. High seating is appreciated. Ride can be a bit hard on side to side bumps. Ground clearance is too low. Diesel economy is good.

Protective plastic shield under car fell off. Sensor to detect reverse gear failed so that parking sensors did not work. Took 5 visits to dealer as car initially returned with 2 new faults

Turbo boost hose broke after 18months and injector cable chafed, causing engine shut down. Both fixed at no cost but not a good experience.

This car is amazing - 100% reliable. It's as reliable during the worst winters, experienced over the last few years, as it is during the wettest weather experienced this year. It has never let me down.
