Love the Scenic. I replaced my Clio for it as I have two rather big dogs and they do a lot of travelling with us. It's spacious, stylish and great to drive. It's my first diesel car and it's great on gas. I'm very pleased with it.

So far only one major fault - sensor/wire on auto gearbox failed. The on-board computer then assumed the gearbox was not in park or neutral and so the engine would not start. Repair cost Ł350.00

I must have been a dodgy car saleman in a past life as i'm obvioulsy paying back some kind of bad karma as result and being punished by owning a renault scenic. The build quality is questionable in places, the electrical system is as unreliable as sunshine during a british summer and the shear mechanics of the car resulting in a bill of nearly £120.00 just to get a headlight bulb changed (as half of the front of the car needs to be dismantled to do it) would be so unbelievably mind boggling until you realise the nationality of the makers of the car........ best not press me any further on the subject of my car i think....it's bad for my blood pressure and bank balance...!

Very good for short journeys, limited engine size affects ability on the motorways. 7 seater vehicle, easy to use the different seating possibilities but would prefer the middle row of seats to go flat.

Pratical car, ideal for having kids as there is loads of room in the cabin. Time for a change though as the car is 12 years old now, we have been advised to change it before it starts to cost us money in repairs. It has done the job we bought it for, so overall been very happy with it.

Engine very good and styling of exterior, but interior has taken a back ward step my 2004 senic was more comfortable had more room storage draws and centre bit were bigger and better. the back seats when folded up do not lock in place much to the poor dogs discust as its been clobbered many times as they just fall down as you drive off and the front seats have to be as far forward as possible. the front dash top area is partly obscured by the reflection from a light colour area along the front against the screen and the blower grill area in the middle dash area who ever design that want sacking as it is very dangerous and i have gone for my brakes on two or three occassions recently and summer isn't here yet.. the seats generally seem smaller harder and not as comfortable. as i mentioned my 2004 scenic was much better than this version inside so if you are replacing an old scenic have a good drive before you buy. i do like the scenics styling generally but would think hard if i could get my money back.

Really nice styling but not good praticality too narrow for child car seats/ booster etc. poor access to rear seats in boot. mpg state an average of 52mpg never been aple to average this, more like 46mpg

Great design, strong and reliable engine (but only if serviced more regularly than dealers recommend), good economy. Good to drive. Let down by poor electrical component reliability (dashboard display, parking brake unit) and expensive diagnostics / parts.

Overall i like the car and it does what i need it to do however i am annoyed at the reliance on electronics, and in my opinion poor electronics, they are of poor build quality and are ultra expensive to replace. The dealership i have delat with (but won't anymore) is arrogant and pushy and use scare tactics to make people pay their exhorbitant charges.

Use it to carry my golf buggy,it goes in with ease without having to take buggy to pieces,car is a grand scenic which gives me extra space, Even just using it around the town i never get less than 45mpg

In general I'm pleased with the car and its versatility. Plus points include comfortable seating, a good driving position, huge boot space, and it's well equipped. Bad points: why fit low profile tyres which are very expensive to replace? Also an oil pump fault, which Renault is aware of, led to a replacement engine at under 60k miles. It was expensive and Renault made a poor contribution to the cost - their customer service is poor. In general though. I'm happy with the car although depreciation in four years is over £18k... Ouch!

I have been very impressed with the Scenic. I always buy Renault as I admire their comfort, innovation, reliability and style. The Scenic lives upto this and has not let me down after over 60,000 miles. A lot of car for the money.

Been good, but recently had two incideents when engine management warning light came on. First time AA lubricated the throttle linkage, second time car was taken to main dealer who could not trace the fault

The only thing to go wrong was the dashboard failed but Renault replaced this for Ł100 as it is a known fault for this model

The dashboard has failed (12 months ago) and is showing the same symptoms again. There is also a fault developed where the car stalls at low rpm's, not looking forwarding to taking it to the garage...

Only had one problem since I purchased the car...with the turbo..but was fixed for Ł120. Other than that, I am completely satisfied with all aspects of the vehicle and would recommend it to anyone...especially as it was the top-of-the -range for it's time and I only paid Ł4100 ! (it had done 103,000 miles but that's nothing for a modern diesel). It's economical around town and great on the motorway with plenty of power,a smooth ride and has a pretty good MPG for it's size.

I bought it for the seating comfort, as i suffer back pain and i was previously slouched in a bmw. The second reason was that i was paying £70 to fill the bmw tank, now it is £48 - and i achieve the same mileage.
