Engine management light has flickered occasionally since new. Main dealer could not find fault as it did not register in diagnostics. Recently it came on and stayed on, a senser had failed now it is on again and the cat needs replacing.

Very reliable and does what you would expect of it. Could be a little more practical being an estate, but having little space in the boot. Hard work to drive in slow traffic, but brilliant across the highlands of scotland!

Fantastic car - the only problem has been a replacement battery because the car only charges on demand not whilst the car is running and it disintergrated. This is a design fault due to emissions and cannot be by-passed, the only answer is to drive with your lights on regularly

My impreza is the fastest and best handling car i have ever driven. the performance really cannot be put into words here, to understand what i mean a test drive is the way to go. i have a few mods on mine so i currently put out 285bhp about 40 over standard. overall my car being the estate version it is both fast and practical i love it.....................

Very pleased with my subaru wrx sti 2009. yes very pricey to run but the Main worry to me at present is that i have read they are suffering engine Failure's due to pistons fualts. Its only when i contacted subaru uk they Told me the car needs a su19/re-map what would have happened if I had not contacted them.

Very well built car - lovely economical diesel engine - totally reliable -comfartable ride and seats So-so handling - not nimble and suprisingly lacking grip at times in wet when cornering (may be tyres) -gearchange notchy Subaru need a diesel automatic, more power, better styling, handling And interior Dealer brilliant - very helpful and good value

Best car i have ever had. Only brand new car i have bought myself. I bought it when i didn't need to worry about running costs, And has turned out to be reliable, practical, cheaper than i expected to run, cheaper than any previous car i have owned Huge grin factor when ever i drive it, Now had it for 11 years, I worry what i'm going to get to replace it when it eventually wears out

Quiet, understated, practical, usefully quick. Gets attention because it has driving lamps, loses it once the lack of bonnet vent is noticed. Has been very reliable, servicing pricey. If i'd known the 2.0 non turbo has this appetite for fuel i'd have bought the turbo. Have loved the subaru brand since lusting after an xt turbo as a kid, first one i've owned, not disappointed. Good steering feel, 4wd traction. Economy is the only thing that lets it down. Best £1300 i ever spent ;-)

The impreza hatch is a great family car, the interior plastics mark a little easily but the interior as a whole is far superior to previous version with no rattles even after 2 years.

My subaru is a good blend of all weather usuable performance and yet is docile enough to be driven round in fifth gear at 30mph. It has a good boot and four doors so is pretty practicle, its just the £425 road tax and 19mpg economy that hurt a little. The interior is a little dated but then i didnt buy the car for comfy cruising.

Excellent blend of performance, driveability, comfort and style, although magazine hacks unfairly criticise the interior. These are the people that will tell you the mini one interior is stylish, as an art school drop out i think mini one interior is f*****g s**t. The fuel consumption is quite heavy, but it's so much fun to drive its impossible to keep your foot off the throttle. The only drawback i find is other motorists keep wanting to race!

I personally love it too bits, with it being such a heavy car the braking isn't as good as you would like especially when utilising the cars performance but with the exception of a couple of small faults its been reliable, as well as being hugely practical due to the large boot and 4 doors. In standard form it was perfect for overtaking my only gripe is that due to it being an import insurance is quite high but that didn't put me off at all.
