Omg purchased this car a year ago with full service and 1 years mot. Paid £10,000 for it after researching Which for the estate car recommended by them. I have a large dog and was tempted by the boot space and reputation, 'reliability ' associated with VW. Two months ago it was serviced and mot'd. It also visited a VW dealer to be 'retuned' following the emissions scam. So having had the car devalued following media reports about emissions, a strange wind like noise began when I changed gear. Neurotic I contacted my garage. I drive it gently, it's a 2011 model & I don't do many miles per year so I wasn't too concerned. It needs a new gearbox. Nightmare bill. Apparently gearbox oil isn't listed in mot or service checks and they can't explain why this has happened on a relatively new car with only 66,000 miles. If you are considering this car check this fault unless you intend taking out a mini mortgage to cover future repairs. I'm in despair! Better still avoid this car.
