Hot car deal: sporty SEAT Ibiza hatchback for just £149 per month

Our hot deal for January 10th is the SEAT Ibiza supermini for an incredible £149 per month

The SEAT Ibiza is an accomplished supermini that perhaps doesn’t always get the recognition it most definitely deserves. From the same Volkswagen Group stable as its Skoda Fabia and Volkswagen Polo siblings, the roomy, five-door hatchback features great onboard technology, while also being fun to drive.

The Ibiza is most definitely a sporty option, although buyers looking for decent levels of comfort and refinement won’t be disappointed. A facelift in 2021 took care of previous complaints of cheaper materials found around the cabin, so there’s more of a quality feel to the interior than you’ll find in older models.

What’s so good about this SEAT Ibiza deal?

Another tremendous deal from Nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk lets you cover up to 5,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £1,785.84, then 24 monthly payments of £148.82. Again, there is flexibility to tweak the arrangement by increasing the agreed mileage allowance or the length of the contract, but you will see the overall cost rise a little. For example, if you opt for a three-year deal with a 10,000-mile annual limit you’ll need to pay £2,226.96 upfront, followed by instalments of £185.58.

This particular Ibiza model is a pre-registered vehicle offered in striking FR Sport trim. Standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, electrically adjustable, folding, heated door mirrors, rear privacy glass, Microsuede upholstery, a 10-inch driver’s display and a 9.2-inch touchscreen with integrated sat-nav.

The Ibiza’s power output doesn’t quite match its sporty name and appearance, but it still remains a good car to drive. The 1.0-litre, three-cylinder TSI petrol engine generates 109bhp via a six-speed manual gearbox. 0-62mph is covered in 10.3 seconds, while SEAT claims you should see average fuel consumption of around 50mpg.

SEAT has ensured that this facelifted fifth-generation Ibiza really delivers. It looks great, has more space than ever and possesses a ‘grown-up’ quality that only the best superminis can deliver. The FR suspension is tuned to be slightly firmer than the rest of the Ibiza range, but that shouldn’t detract from what is a superbly capable supermini.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?

This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.

Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
