Affordable Suzuki Swift supermini for just £111 a month: Hot car deal

Our hot car deal for May 10th is the the efficient Suzuki Swift mild-hybrid; available for just £111 a month

Suzuki Swift UK

The new Suzuki Swift offers some welcome improvements over the model it replaces, with better fuel economy, an updated infotainment system and a familiar but modern exterior redesign to keep things feeling fresh. Generous levels of standard equipment add to the Swift’s value-focused package, while it’s comfortable and easy to drive, making it an interesting alternative to the likes of the Renault Clio or Vauxhall Corsa.

What’s so good about this Suzuki Swift deal?

This two-year deal from Applied Leasing lets you cover up to 5,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £1,337.04 (plus a processing fee of £360), followed by monthly payments of £111.42. There’s plenty of flexibility if you need to tailor the deal further, although you’ll need to pay a little more for the privilege. For example, increasing the agreed mileage to 10,000 a year means you’ll need to find £129.82 each month, with the initial deposit amount increasing to £1,557.84.

The Swift model offered in this particular deal comes in Motion specification, which includes  16-inch alloys, LED headlights, rear privacy glass, a keyless entry and start function, rear parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, heated front seats and a nine-inch infotainment screen with integrated sat-nav and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Suzuki Swift UK interior

Suzuki still uses a 1.2-litre mild-hybrid engine for the Swift range, but it’s now a three-cylinder unit, rather than a four-cylinder. It produces 82bhp via a CVT auto ’box and manages 0-62mph in 11.9 seconds. Overall fuel economy is particularly impressive, with Suzuki claiming that the Swift should be capable of achieving an average of around 60mpg on a mixture of roads.

What’s so good about the Suzuki Swift?

The Swift can feel a little cheap in places and its boot isn’t the biggest, but in terms of overall value for money it’s a real winner. The generous level of standard kit on offer is hard to ignore, while excellent fuel economy means running costs should be kept low. With this lease deal costing around £28 per week, the Swift would make the ideal urban runaround.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?

This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.

Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
