Hot car deal: sporty BMW 1 Series hatchback for just £275 per month

Our hot car deal for March 11th is the BMW 1 Series in desirable M Sport trim for just £275 per month

BMW 1 Series hatchback

The BMW 1 Series is a premium hatchback that offers superb build quality, great onboard technology and an engaging drive. The third-generation car’s switch to front-wheel drive freed up some welcome interior space – making the 1 Series more practical than ever – while the 118i model in particular is efficient and provides decent value for money. Yes, you could opt for a cheaper, roomier Volkswagen Golf, but a BMW 1 Series in M Sport trim is a very appealing overall package.

What’s so good about this BMW 1 Series deal?

This deal from Nationwide Vehicle Contracts lets you cover up to 5,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £3,304.56, then 48 monthly payments of £275.38. Extending the agreed mileage limit to 10,000 miles per year means you’ll pay £297.93 every month, while the deposit amount increases to £3,575.16. Whichever deal you opt for, you’ll need to cover the £270 processing fee, too.

Offered in popular M Sport specification, this 118i model includes bespoke exterior trim, 18-inch alloys, automatic LED headlights, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, and BMW’s Live Cockpit Plus infotainment system with a 12.3-inch display and integrated sat-nav.

BMW 1 Series hatchback steering wheel

Power comes from a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine, producing 134bhp via a dual-clutch automatic transmission. 0-62mph takes 8.8 seconds, while BMW says you should manage up to 47.9mpg on mixed road driving.

What’s so good about the BMW 1 Series ?

If you’re after a five-door hatchback that’s full of quality and fun to drive, then a BMW 1 Series isn’t a bad place to start.  Although the 118i model is the entry point to the range, it still offers punchy enough performance, while it’s more agile and rewarding to drive than a similar Mercedes A-Class or Audi A3 rival. The fact that the model on offer here comes in more dynamic M Sport trim just makes the deal even sweeter.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?

This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the four-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.

Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
