Today’s hot car deal: £8,000 off a brand new Honda e:NY1

Our hot deal for 4 December is an £8,000 deposit contribution which puts the Honda e:NY1 electric SUV’s monthly price on par with the hybrid HR-V

Honda e:Ny1

When it launched, one of our biggest gripes about the Honda e:NY1 electric SUV was the fact that it was fairly pricey against rivals, but Honda is currently offering a hefty £8,000 discount towards the deposit – a very attractive offer that makes it as affordable as the hybrid HR-V per month.

What’s so good about this Honda e:NY1 deal?

Hybrids are often seen as the stepping stone towards our EV future, but with this e:NY1 deal bringing the electric SUV’s price in line with the hybrid Honda HR-V at just under £350 per month, why take a step when you can make the full leap?

£8,000 is a considerable discount, and the remaining £5,000 deposit will be doable for many buyers, leaving just £345.94 left on a monthly basis over the remaining 37 months, provided you don’t mind handing back the keys after three years. The 10,000-mile annual limit is generous, too – being plenty for the average UK driver.

Honda even throws in a five-year service plan, five-year warranty and five-years of roadside assistance cover to make the ownership experience even simpler and offer peace of mind.

If you find you like the e:NY1 so much you want to own it outright, you can pay the remaining £24,549.41 plus a £10 purchase fee to do so at the end of the contract term.

What’s so good about the Honda e:NY1?

The Honda e:NY1 is the Japanese brand’s first electric SUV and second EV overall. While the e:NY1 looks a lot like its petrol-powered HR-V sibling, it’s actually got very different underpinnings, and comes with a 69kWh battery, delivering up to 259 miles to a charge. Its 148bhp electric motor powers the front wheels, delivering a zippy amount of performance.

Honda e:NY1 interior

One of the e:NY1’s biggest highlights is its interior, which feels well-equipped, getting heated front seats wrapped in artificial leather, dual-zone air conditioning, a wireless charging pad, and power-adjustable folding mirrors as standard. You can also use the My Honda+ app for free for the first year. This allows you to use your phone as a digital key, enabling up to five people to lock, unlock and start the car – perfect for if you want to lend your car to somebody but aren’t nearby in person to hand over the physical key.
