Very pretty eye catching car, good economic performance, very poor from a driving perspective, excessive tyre wear at low mileage, far too expensive to service, LSD is more trouble than it is worth, steering has serious design issues, if you want a pretty car to look at on your driveway this is the car to buy, if you want it for driving and performance forget it.

I bought this car having been a Mercedes owner for many years however Mercedes have lost the edge on customer service and its no longer special owning a Mercedes. One thing people may not have observed about Mercedes is that the steering wheel is offset to one side and this has caused me a lot of back problems. The Maserati steering wheel is centred. Its one hell of a car bit not as good as the Mercedes for gearbox changes this is where the Mercedes system is much smoother. The economy is slightly better than the Mercedes E320. Service costs are comparable. Tyres are much the same. The cabin is way better in the Maserati. There is one aspect that neither are particularly good at compared to Lexus and that is the seats, they have a to learn from Lexus in this aspect. I drive 286 miles on my trip twice a week and the Maserati is much more comfortable on this drive. I have also driven it across Europe and again much better than the E class but for seats not a patch on the Lexus. Our household is so impressed with the QP we have ordered the Levante to replace the Lexus NX ( the economy of this vehicle is awful). Personally I would not hesitate to recommend the QP and its not much different in price to the E Class. What I would say putting economy to one side is that the petrol version is a beast the QP GTS is quicker, more balanced, has a much better cabin and sounds much better than the AMG63 (I had one for 3 months and it sounded great but that was it, inside it was an E class)

I love the look and ride of my car. Also, the performance is very good although the handling could be tighter. The only real negative is the cost of running it: both fuel efficiency and repairs.
