The latest CLS seats five and rivals the Audi A7 Sportback and BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe

It also has a more dynamic and muscular appearance, with LED lighting and large alloy wheels to help it stand out
Despite the big alloys, the CLS is a comfortable cruiser, particularly when air suspension is fitted

There isn't a slow CLS, but engines range from the diesel 350d to the petrol 450 that can get from 0-62mph in 4.8 seconds
There's also a Mercedes-AMG 53 CLS with 429bhp that cuts the sprint to 4.5 seconds

The CLS is designed to be fuel-efficient too, and the 350d returns up to 48.7mpg
The sheer size of the CLS means it's not exactly nimble, but it is satisfying to drive, flowing nicely between corners
