Excellent interior with especially comfortable seats. Smooth ride and equally at home on motorways or city streets. Service costs are very reasonable although insurance is a little expensive.

Good interior with high-quality materials

Indicators self cancelling is erratic

This car is shocking when it comes to the wet season. Dreadful when it rains. The steering wheel and pedals shake. Looks nice but I can tell you this, you will regret it! Worse I've spent £28k! Also the lane assistant is so sharp, I'm surprised there isn't a scandal about it causing any accidents. The city braking function is also dangerous because when you go past a parked car with its lights on, the car will try and stop suddenly! If you have leaves blowing in front, the car will try and stop! Also my airbag keeps telling me it's turned off now and then. The space in the car is pretty good. Interior sold me the car. Not recommended.

It's a great all-rounder. It gives excellent performance from its 160bhp, 1.3-litre engine, it's smooth and quiet on the roads and handles like a dream. Beautifully styled and functional interior which makes for a great driving experience.

Top spec car with rare full leather interior, night pack, ambient lighting pack, amg pack, storage pack, all driving assist packs, smartphone integration, premium plus etc. It drives really nicely and smoothly with plenty of punch and great handling. Brakes are costly to replace, but perform great. Alloys corroded after 3 months of ownership, annoying as these are the same alloys fitted to the A45, however Merc replacing them for free.

The A180 Sport Executive delivers 134bhp via a 7 speed semi-automatic gearbox. Power and Performance are adequate. On a recent long run (275 miles) I achieved 57.8 mpg. The only downside are the front seats. At maximum height adjustment, you still drop into the seat and getting out is not a ‘swivel your bum and legs job’, it’s somewhat problematic. Next car probably a B200 Sport Executive.

What's the one thing you like most about your car?

Quality of build and finish.

If you could improve one thing, what would it be?

Extra seat height adjustment with grab handles above the front seats. The rear seats have them but not the front.

The A Class saloon is a classy looking car. It delivers lovely smooth power and accelerates rapidly and effortlessly when required. On long journeys the car is delightful. The in-car tech can be fiddly at first, but it's fine once you get to know it. The lane keeping assistance can be overly aggressive – now I turn it off at the start of every journey especially when I know I'll be using a motorway. That being said, the automatic emergency braking is good and saved my bacon when I hadn't realised a truck in front had stopped still – phew.

What's the one thing you like most about your car?

It's smooth powerful engine.

If you could improve one thing, what would it be?

Wet weather handling through standing water.
