Hot car deal: Fast MG4 XPower hot hatch for just £258 a month
Fancy a 911-beater for family car cash? Our hot car deal for January 23rd is the ferociously quick MG4 XPower for £258 a month
We really rate the MG4 EV here at Carbuyer. In fact, we named it the Best Family Electric Car at our 2024 awards, celebrating how the famed British marque was breaking down the cost barrier to EV ownership. Well, MG has now taken that thinking one step further by introducing the MG4 XPower – a flagship model with supercar pace that will outsprint a 911 Carrera, while costing you less than a Volkswagen Golf GTI.
It’s the fastest, most powerful MG ever, and if you need a more sensible reason to do the deal there’s the added bonus that you can fit two adult passengers comfortably in the back, or three at a push. For a buyer seeking a fun, family car, the MG4 XPower will be hard to beat.
What’s so good about this MG4 XPower deal?
This deal from Central Vehicle Leasing lets you cover up to 6,000 miles a year with an initial payment of £3,600.00, then monthly payments of £257.99 over a two-year term. If you’re seeking more flexibility, there are options to increase either the duration of the lease agreement or the annual mileage allowance, but these alternatives will cost you more cash. For example, choosing a 10,000-mile annual limit means an extra £42 added to each monthly bill.
Aside from its raw pace, the MG4 XPower comes with a generous amount of standard equipment, including 18-inch alloy wheels with orange brake calipers, LED headlights, rear privacy glass, rear parking sensors, electrically-adjustable heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a wireless smartphone charging function and a 10.25-inch touchscreen with integrated sat-nav.
But the main event is the MG4 XPower’s performance. It uses the same 64kWh battery as other MG4 models, but adds a motor to the front axle for a combined 429bhp and 600Nm of torque. 0-62mph takes just 3.8 seconds, while MG claims a 0-30mph time of 1.7 seconds, so it’s probably fair to say you won’t be left standing at the lights – particularly as the XPower version comes with launch control.
MG claims a combined driving range of up to 239 miles, but realistically you’ll be looking at around 200 miles in real-world driving. During our own testing, the XPower returned decent efficiency of 3.3 miles/kWh, and that was without any particularly gentle driving, so we’d expect the claimed range figure to be reliable.
What’s so good about the MG4 XPower?
The MG4 XPower is fast, fun and expertly engineered. Despite its huge power reserves, it still offers a competitive range and good charging speeds, while the practicality of having decent rear space and a usable 363-litre boot means you don’t have to work too hard to justify splashing out on this tempting deal.

Anything else I need to know about this deal?
This is a lease deal, often referred to as Personal Contract Hire (PCH), so there’s no option to buy the car at the end of the contract. You are effectively renting the car for the two-year term, but the deal is very flexible so you can adjust the term length, mileage limit and initial payment size to suit, but only at the outset. Once the deal is over, you just hand the keys back and start looking for your next car.
Our hot deals are carefully selected by our car buying experts and they are all subject to change. Always read the full terms and conditions and make sure the car and the deal suits your needs before proceeding.
