SEAT Toledo deals: Car deal of the week
The SEAT Toledo hatchback now costs from just £10,000
You can now get an excellent £2,500 off the entire SEAT Toledo family car range.
Prices now start from as little as £10,000, with standard kit across the range including MP3 compatibility, ESP, alloy wheels and tinted windows. For £10,000 you can get hold of an entry-level E model, which gets 46mpg from its small 1.2-litre petrol engine.
Space is one of the main pulling points of the Toledo. There’s a large hatchback-style boot that gives you very easy access to luggage, and if the 550-litre boot isn’t quite enough space, the rear seats will fold down to provide extra room. There’s also plenty of legroom in the back, so carrying adults isn’t an issue.
Thanks to responsive steering and well-placed pedals the Toledo is safe and easy to drive. It’s also impressively comfortable, particularly when travelling at motorway speeds – there isn’t a lot of road noise and the suspension handles bumpy roads with ease.
The SEAT Toledo also ranks well for reliability, as it uses the same mechanicals as the Volkswagen Polo and SEAT Ibiza, both of which are renowned for having few problems in that department.
There’s also plenty of safety equipment, with ABS, ESP and front, side, head and chest airbags included as standard. It’s perhaps not surprising that the SEAT Toledo scored five stars in the Euro NCAP crash safety test.
There’s a range of efficient TSI and TDI engines available, with SEAT expecting the 1.6-litre TDI diesel to be the bestseller. Emissions are as low as 104g/km in the Ecomotive model, so road tax will be free for a year and very cheap thereafter. However, while all engines are cheap to run, there are no tax-free models.
