Toyota Hybrid Health Check now available
Toyota owners can now get their hybrid's efficiency and economy checked
Toyota hybrid owners can now get a comprehensive health check that ensures their vehicles maintain their excellent fuel economy and efficiency figures while on the road.
Cars like the Toyota Yaris, the Toyota Auris and the Toyota Prius are all eligible for the Toyota Hybrid Health Check, which involves a series of specialist inspections. Trained technicians will make sure the battery that powers the car’s wheels works properly before checking that both the petrol engine and electric motors are providing the best fuel economy. The final stage involves ensuring the vehicle’s cooling system is keeping the vehicle at the optimum temperature when driving.
You can trust these mechanics because they’ve all received expert training from Toyota and will only use reliable Toyota parts if anything does need replacing. They will explain the test results in a clear and simple way to give you a better idea of what condition your hybrid vehicle is in. An extensive written report filled with itemised information will also be provided to help you make an informed decision about any further action that may be required.
The Toyota Hybrid Health Check is free with any scheduled hybrid servicing and it costs £39 if your car isn’t due for a service check. An additional one-year/10,000-mile extension on your hybrid battery’s warranty will also get added on top.
Toyota is one of the major players in economical car technology and they recently unveiled a new Toyota Aygo at the Geneva Motor Show 2014, which emits just 99g/km of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions.
We'd always recommend taking good care of your car, and there are some checks that don’t require the help of an experienced mechanic. Check out Carbuyer’s list of basic car maintenance tips that are very simple and easy to do on your own.
