Honda Civic deals now available
Attractive finance deals are now available on the updated Honda Civic hatchback
The Honda Civic hatchback recently underwent a series of mild updates and Honda is treating customers further by giving them a chance to buy the car on special finance deals.
These deals mean the Honda Civic with a 1.4-litre petrol engine, can now be purchased for just £209 per month, over 36 months. Models with the 1.6-litre diesel engine are also available for £239 per month. All offers can vary, so it’s best to chat to your nearest Honda dealer for more specific information.
We recommend the more economical 1.6-litre diesel, as this can do an impressive 78.5mpg, while CO2 emissions of 94g/km will free you of any annual road tax charges.
The less economical 1.4-litre petrol engine is quite expensive to run by modern day standards. Carbon dioxide emissions stand at 129g/km, meaning it'll cost £110 a year in road tax – a high price to pay considering cars with the 1.6-litre diesel engine are much smoother to drive.
Included in the these monthly finance payments is Honda’s five-year service package, which includes servicing, warranty and roadside assistance. This is particularly good value for money because the package costs £500 extra if you decide to pay for the car up front, instead of taking out the attractive finance plan.
A new generation of the Honda Civic's performance version, called the Honda Civic Type R, is due on sale in 2015, but there are no monthly finance offers confirmed for this model.
Leon Brannan, head of cars at Honda UK, said: "The Civic is an important model for Honda, and as such we are constantly looking at how we can further enhance its ‘Sporting and Advanced' characteristics.
“With the much anticipated new Civic Type R on the horizon these changes very much point to the direction that we continue to take with the Civic range. We're confident that such low monthly payments coupled with low and manageable running costs will add even further to the appeal of the Civic."
