New convertible option for Toyota Aygo
Toyota Aygo buyers can now enjoy wind-in-the-hair thrills with a new fabric roof option
The Toyota Aygo hatchback can now be specified with a fabric roof that almost transforms the city car into a convertible.
That means the Aygo joins its sister cars, the Citroen C1 and Peugeot 108, in offering the full-length sliding roof. The x-wave roof is an option on the five-door Toyota Aygo x-pression model and costs £895.
The black factory-fitted roof is electrically operated and can be opened and closed using a switch next to the interior light in the car’s headlining. The roof folds back like a large sunroof, but the car's doors and boot remain as the standard model's.
The x-wave roof can be ordered alongside any of the Aygo’s existing options, apart from the roof decals.
Being based on the Aygo x-pression, models with the x-wave roof also feature 15-inch alloy wheels, front foglights, a multimedia system with DAB digital radio and Bluetooth phone connectivity, a rear parking camera and air-conditioning.
The model is available in the White Flash, Electro Grey, Silver Splash, Red Pop and Deep Blue Buzz paint colours, plus it features a range of gloss-black trims.
