£500 premium for Dacia Laureate Prime models

Dacia series of new 'Laureate Prime' special editions, celebrating 10 years since the brand's relaunch in Europe, cost £500 more than standard Laureate versions, but boast almost £900 of extra kit. The new trims will be available on the Dacia Sandero, Duster and Logan MCV models.

The new models, which will launch at the Geneva Motor Show before going on sale in early spring, will feature a range of styling and in-car entertainment upgrades. Prices and final UK specifications will be released closer to the cars' launch.

All Dacia Laureate Prime models will feature a new Cosmos Blue paint colour, not available elsewhere in the range. Other new styling tweaks include 'Dark Metal' alloy wheels and door mirrors.

Inside, all models carry blue flourishes on the upholstery and seatbelts, while there's also grey seat stitching and blue-edged floor mats.

The Laureate Prime models are based on the existing top-of-the-range Laureates. Standard kit includes a leather steering wheel, climate control air-conditioning, cruise control, front and rear electric windows and remote central locking.

A Dacia Media Nav Evolution infotainment system is also fitted as standard to all Laureate Prime models, combining a seven-inch touchscreen with sat nav, Bluetooth and music streaming capabilities, as well as USB and MP3 player connectivity. When connected to a smartphone, the system can access real-time traffic information and Apple's SIRI voice-recognition function.

Laureate Prime models feature the same engines as the rest of Dacia's range, while the Duster can be chosen with two or four-wheel drive. All Dacias come with a three-year/60,000-mile warranty.
