Jaguar E-Pace Chequered Flag edition joins line-up
Jaguar’s small SUV gets the Chequered Flag treatment, and is available to order now from £40,050
Jaguar has announced a new Chequered Flag edition of the E-Pace. The specification is already available on the F-Pace, XF and F-Pace, and brings subtle styling changes and extra equipment. The E-Pace version is on sale now with a price tag of £40,050.
The Chequered Flag model sits at the top of the E-Pace range and features sporty styling details, including 19-inch Satin Dark Grey alloy wheels, a black styling pack and a handful of Chequered Flag badges. Three colours are available, including a Photon Red shade that’s only available with the Chequered Flag E-Pace. Inside, there are model-specific kick plates, black grained leather upholstery and red stitching.
Jaguar F-Pace Chequered Flag edition launched
Go for the Chequered Flag model and you’ll be buying a very well equipped Jaguar E-Pace. In addition to the R-Dynamic specification, the Chequered Flag adds full LED headlights, a powered tailgate, a fixed panoramic glass sunroof, keyless entry, 10-way electrically adjustable heated front seats and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are included too, as well as traffic sign recognition and an adaptive speed limiter.
All E-Paces also feature emergency braking, a driver condition monitor, lane-keeping assistance, front and rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.
There are four engines to choose from in the E-Pace Chequered Flag: two diesels and two petrols. Diesels offer either 148bhp or 178bhp and are badged D150 or D180, while the petrol choices are badged P200 and P250, producing 197bhp and 246bhp accordingly. All are linked to Jaguar’s four-wheel-drive system and an automatic gearbox.
On the options list, you can choose the company’s Smart Settings software. When equipped with this technology, the E-Pace will use artificial intelligence to pick up on your driving habits; over time, it’ll automatically programme the sat nav and other functions based on what you do regularly. This system can also adjust to your pre-programmed settings when it senses your key fob or the Bluetooth connection with your phone. Other extras include adaptive suspension and various lifestyle and pet packs.
The Jaguar E-Pace Chequered Flag edition starts from just over £40,000, which is around £10,000 more than the mid-range R-Dynamic model. The highest-powered petrol adds almost £2,800 to the bill.
