New Kia XCeed special edition revealed
Special edition Kia XCeed offers extra kit for just £200 more than entry-level model
The new Kia XCeed Edition model has been launched. The special edition version of the firm’s newest crossover gets a range of extra kit over the entry-level XCeed ‘2’ trim level. It’s available to order now for a starting price of £20,995, just £200 more than the base model.
The XCeed Edition comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, privacy glass, faux leather-trimmed upholstery and a choice of three extra standard metallic paint colours called ‘Lunar Silver,’ ‘Blue Flame,’ and ‘Quantum Yellow’.
These extras come on top of the standard equipment across the XCeed range, which includes electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, and LED headlights with daytime running lights.
Inside, the Edition model has the same eight-inch infotainment screen with voice control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, DAB radio and air conditioning as the entry-level ‘2’ model. Safety technology is also unchanged and includes cruise control, a reversing camera, lane-keep assist, driver attention warning, forward collision avoidance and a speed limit information system.
A turbocharged 1.0-litre petrol engine producing 118bhp is the only engine option. It sends power to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox, and is capable of 0-62mph in 10.9 seconds and a top speed of 145mph. Economy stands at 44.1mpg with CO2 emissions of 145g/km.
