All-new Ford E-Transit Custom: zero emissions whilst driving, countless benefits
Power through the day with the all-electric Ford E-Transit Custom
The Ford Transit Custom - Britain’s best selling commercial vehicle, just got an electric upgrade. With advanced new features, plus all the same tried, tested and tough ability that can meet your every need, the all-new Ford E-Transit Custom delivers a zero-emissions take on the versatile van we all know and love.
Reimagined for a new era of productivity with next-gen connectivity and intelligent software, the E-Transit Custom will keep you on the move with its impressive all-electric range and DC fast-charging ability. Combined with innovative new design features to help increase vehicle uptime and maximise productivity, the E-Transit Custom ensures you’ll have all the tools you need to tackle the day ahead.
Ready for work
With an impressive all-electric driving range of up to 209 miles* the E-Transit Custom will keep you on the move - wherever work takes you. Ford understands that maximising uptime is important for any business, which is why the E-Transit Custom also features DC fast charging ability that is able to take battery charge from 10% to 80% in
just 39 minutes.**
It certainly pays to be efficient, and a further cost-effective advantage of running the E-Transit Custom is that you’ll benefit from the government’s Plug in Van Grant (PiVG) - a scheme that will subsidise the final purchase price (inclusive of any discounts) of your all-electric van to the tune of £5,000.*** And, it’s completely hassle-free because your dealer will handle all of the paperwork for you, prior to delivery.
Supremely practical
Built from the ground up for ultimate versatility, the new E-Transit Custom has been engineered to help make your work life easier. A lower step-in height provides effortless cabin entry and loading for unloading of equipment from both rear and side load doors, while a sub-two-metre roof height can provide better access to areas such as parking garages, underground car parks and country roads in more rural locations. There’s even power side load doors that allow entry to your van while your hands are full, and are wide enough to slide industrial pallets in and out with the minimum of fuss.
Impressively capable on the road, you can choose from either a 134bhp or 215bhp model, while there’s a useful maximum towing capacity of up to 2.3 tonnes. And, for those buyers not yet ready to make the switch to all-electric power, a plug-in hybrid model is ready to take the load. Combining a 2.5-litre petrol engine with a 11.8 kWh (usable) battery to deliver a targeted pure-electric driving range of up to 24-35 miles, the Transit Custom PHEV offers the best of both worlds.
A flexible mobile office
You can feel confident in the flexibility of the E-Transit Custom to provide everything you need to complete any job. Smart features and the latest onboard technology mean that you can treat your van like a mobile office: the latest Ford SYNC 4 infotainment system is integrated via a 13-inch colour touchscreen, delivering enhanced connectivity via a new 5G modem, along with seamless smartphone integration and conversational voice recognition. Plus, there’s the option of a tilting steering wheel that lets you create an angled desk when parked up - ideal for mounting a laptop or even eating your lunch on a well-earned break.
But, innovation is king in today’s business world, and the E-Transit Custom has responded with its new Pro Power Onboard technology that allows your van to double up as a plug-in power source - providing power to your work tools, laptop or printer. Available as an optional extra, Pro Power Onboard delivers 2.3 kilowatts of exportable energy, meaning you can keep delivering for your customers, no matter where you are.
This inspired approach to technology doesn’t stop there; the Ford E-Transit Custom features an optional 360-degree camera with split-view display to make parking manoeuvres easier, while advanced Driver Assistance technologies such as pre-collision assist, adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist and road sign recognition are all offered as standard. Such focus and commitment to the well-being of drivers, passengers and other road users, has seen the E-Transit Custom achieve the highest Platinum safety rating from industry safety body Euro NCAP.
