Car deal of the week: Kia Venga
Kia is offering £1,600 off the Venga 1.
Prices for the Kia Venga 1 start at £9,995 for the 1.4 1 ISG manual five-door hatchback, but there are savings of around £1,000 on most of the models in the Venga range. The Venga 1 includes tinted glass and aero-blade front wipers. Steering wheel-mounted controls, a six-speaker stereo system and USB ports are also standard, as well as a trip computer, while the Venga 3 features Bluetooth with music streaming, reversing sensors and an iPod cable.
Kia proves that small cars can be big on practicality with a generous boot and spacious interior, as well as offering comfort with plenty of headspace and legroom, with a sliding rear bench providing the option of more legroom or extra carrying capacity.
Peace of mind is helped by plenty of safety equipment as standard, even on the lowest-spec models, including ABS with Break Assist System, motor-driven power steering and gearshift indicator, as well as twin front airbags, ISOFIX child seat top tethers and anchor fixings, and impact-sensing automatic door unlocking.
The small size of the car, light and precise steering and smooth gear changes mean the Venga is great around town, and provides a good view of the road ahead. The ride soaks up bumps and potholes well.
Insurance costs for the Venga are low, as are servicing bills, and, coupled with the prices on offer, the little Kia can make perfect sense as a city runabout.
