Toyota Auris Touring Sports pictures revealed
The Toyota Auris Touring Sports estate has been revealed, with prices starting from £15,565.
The Toyota Auris Touring Sports estate prices starting from £15,565 will keep it competitive with rivals like the Ford Focus estate and Volkswagen Golf estate.
The Auris Touring Sports comes with a range of engines, but there's also the option of a petrol-electric hybrid model – the only one of its kind in this class. It uses a 1.8-litre petrol engine and electric motor for a power output of 134bhp. Impressively, the hybrid model only emits 85g/km of CO2, making it completely free from road tax.
As with the standard Auris hatchback, the rest of the engine line-up consists of 1.33-litre and 1.6-litre petrol engines, as well as a 1.4-litre diesel engine. The diesel is the second most efficient in the range, with CO2 emissions of 109g/km.
The Touring Sports comes in four different specifications: Active, Icon, Sport and Excel. Entry-level Active cars come with roof rails, air-con, hill start assist and 15-inch steel wheels. Icon adds 16-inch alloys, an infotainment system and a rear view camera. Going for top-spec Excel – which costs from £20,345 – adds bigger alloys, heated seats, cruise control, and keyless entry.
Practicality is key in this class, and the Auris Sports Tourer has generous dimensions. There’s 530 litres of boot space, for example, and the seats can be folded down to make a 1,658-litre load area.
