Car deal of the week: Audi A6
Get thousands of pounds towards your deposit on a brand-new Audi A6
Audi is now offering thousands of pounds towards a deposit for a new Audi A6 saloon when you buy through Audi Finance. On an A6 2.0 TDI, the contribution comes to £4,500 – leaving you to pay £5,818.05, with 35 monthly payments of £339. It’s only available at participating dealers, and on cars ordered before 30 June and delivered by 30 September.
The entry-level SE and S line models come very well equipped, with the even the basic SE featuring climate control, sat-nav and Bluetooth, as well as a 10-speaker stereo. The more desirable S line comes with a stylish bodykit, higher-quality leather and electrically adjustable sports seats. But if you’re willing to splash out a little extra cash, then night-vision technology, touch-screen sat-nav or a TV are all on the options list.
The A6 weighs less than a BMW 5 Series or Mercedes E Class thanks to its clever aluminum construction. The lightweight body means it returns decent fuel economy, too, with Audi claiming nearly 50mpg for the 242bhp 3.0-litre twin-turbo diesel. The smaller 2.0-litre diesel is capable of almost 60mpg and emits just 129g/km CO2.
Even the basic SE version comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, while the standard steel suspension makes for a very comfortable ride. It handles long motorway journeys well thanks to a widely adjustable driving position, yet find a twisty country road and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by its sporty nature.
It’s practical, too, with a wide 530-litre boot and plenty of head and kneeroom in the back for two adults.
