High-spec BMW X3s announced
Two new X3 models join BMW's line-up, the X3 xDrive30d and X3 xDrive35d. Both models are available in SE or M Sport trim.
Following the launch of the BMW X3 xDrive20d in 2010 the higher spec X3 xDrive30d and X3 xDrive35d diesels are now available.
Fitted with an eight-speed automatic gearbox as standard, the 3.0-litre xDrive30d produces 258bhp and 560Nm of torque. Capable of accelerating from 0-62mph in 6.2 seconds, the 30d emits 159g/km of CO2 and returns a combined fuel economy of 47.1mpg. Prices start at £37,600 for the SE model.
The range topping xDrive35d produces 313bhp and 630Nm of torque from a tweaked version of the same engine, reducing the 0-62mph sprint time to 5.8 seconds. Capable of 46.3mpg and emitting 162g/km of CO2, the lower spec SE model is priced from £40,205.
Top spec M Sport models include the Sport automatic transmission and steering wheel featuring gearshift paddles.
