Best car leasing deals 2025: this week’s top PCH offers

When leasing a new car the sheer number of deals, payment terms and deals can seem almost overwhelming. That’s why our team of car experts keep an eye on the latest trends and only pick out the car leases with the biggest discounts on the best models. We also check the terms and conditions to make sure there are no surprises like stinging admin fees or excessive initial rental payments.

Our new choices for this week’s round-up of the best leasing deals include the practical Citroen C5 Aircross for £230 a month, the new Ford Capri for £310, and the popular Tesla Model Y for £349 a month.

Before signing on the dotted line, you’ll want to understand exactly how a leasing deal (also known as PCH) works, and how it differs from Personal Control Purchase (PCP) finance and Hire Purchase (HP). In its most basic terms, think of PCH as akin to renting the car on a long-term basis, while PCP allows you to pay off a car in instalments before deciding whether to buy it outright with a balloon payment or handing it back at the end of the term. Hire Purchase is more like a mortgage, where you pay monthly instalments until you own the car outright.

A PCH deal is enticing thanks to its affordable prices, giving you access to new cars with very little hassle, but there’s typically no opportunity to own the car at the end of the term.

Citroen C5 Aircross: £230 a month

If you’re looking for a family SUV that prioritises comfort, while still offering decent practicality and useful efficiency, then the Citroen C5 Aircross will certainly fit the bill. Rear passenger space is a bit tight, and it’s no fun to drive, but the French mid-size SUV represents good value for money, even if the cabin feels a little low rent.

With a new C5 Aircross model due later this year, now could be the time to take advantage of a great deal on the current car. This plug-in hybrid version is claimed to deliver up to 36 miles of all-electric range, which means you should be able to cover most day-to-day trips without firing up its 1.6-litre petrol engine – great for keeping running costs low. The C5 Aircross offers reasonable straight-line performance, too, with its 222bhp total power output helping the family SUV from 0-62mph in a little over eight seconds. E-Series specification brings a good level of standard kit, including 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, a panoramic glass sunroof, rear privacy glass, keyless entry and start, dual-zone climate control, and a 10-inch infotainment touchscreen with integrated navigation, along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

Ford Capri: £310 a month

If you can see past the controversial name, then you’ll find the new Ford Capri is a refined and well-built  family SUV with a smart interior and useful practicality. It’s not at all sporty to drive, but the Capri is comfortable, well-equipped, and offers a little more style than some rivals.

This particular Capri is a rear-wheel drive, Extended Range model with a 77kWh battery and single electric motor, which means it has a claimed all-electric range of up to 389 miles (WLTP combined). With 282bhp and 545Nm of torque, the Capri offers decent acceleration, too, with 0-62mph covered in 6.4 seconds. The Select specification adds 19-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and start, heated front sports seats, dual-zone climate control, and a 14.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Tesla Model Y: £349 a month

Offering more space and practicality than its smaller Model 3 sibling, the Tesla Model Y is a tempting choice. Throw in plenty of onboard technology, an excellent all-electric range, along with Tesla’s first-rate charging network, and it’s easy to see why Elon’s family SUV has firmly established itself as the go to EV for so many buyers. 

The Tesla Model Y was the fifth best-selling car in the UK last year, and the only pure EV in the top ten – a clear indication of just how accomplished it is. This Long Range RWD model is capable (at least on paper) of up to 373 miles of range from a single charge, while managing 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds. With a new model available soon, this is a great time to get behind the wheel of what is still an extremely capable, all-electric family car – particularly at this competitive price. The typical Tesla minimalist interior may not be to all tastes, while quality can be patchy in areas, but the Model Y’s range, efficiency, charging network and kerb appeal count for a lot.

BMW iX2: £330 a month

It’s fair to say that the BMW iX2 majors more on style than overall practicality. The coupe-SUV is closely related to its iX1 sibling, but offers sleeker styling and a swooping roof line, which means interior space is compromised. Easy to drive, with an air of quality, the iX2 brings a lot of kerb appeal, particularly in popular M Sport specification – although the ride can feel a little unsettled on bumpy UK roads.

The rear space in the iX2 is fine for transporting kids, but taller adults will find that the coupe-SUV’s sloping roof eats into headroom. On a more positive note, this xDrive30 model brings reassuring all-wheel-drive and a very generous level of standard kit, including 19-inch alloys, LED headlights, BMW’s Active Park Distance Control, cruise control, an automatic tailgate, heated front sports seats, and a 10.25-inch digital cockpit with a 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen that forms a single curved display. There’s plenty of straight line performance, too, with the 302bhp xDrive30 model managing 0-62mph in 5.6 seconds, while its overall range (WLTP) is a claimed 267 miles.

Hyundai Tucson: £229 a month

The Hyundai Tucson is a brilliant family SUV. It looks good and offers superb comfort, along with lots of user-friendly onboard tech and all the space you’re likely to need. Its petrol hybrid powertrain means it's efficient, too, so running costs should be relatively low. Winner of our 2022 Best Car Award, the Tucson remains a top choice.

This particular Tucson model comes in sporty N Line specification which brings 19-inch alloy wheels, a restyled front bumper with bigger intakes and a more aggressive rear diffuser with twin-exit exhausts. Inside, there’s heating for the front seats and steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, front and rear USB charging ports, and a wireless smartphone charging pad, while other practical features include front and rear parking sensors, a power tailgate, and rear seats that fold in a convenient 40:20:40 configuration. Claimed average fuel economy (WLTP) for the 212bhp 1.6-litre petrol hybrid model is around 53-57mpg, which is super efficient for a mid-size family SUV, while it delivers reasonable performance, too, with 0-62mph taking 8.2 seconds.

Peugeot 3008: £226 a month

Peugeot’s latest 3008, launched in 2024, is definitely an eye-catching family SUV. An interesting interior design helps it to standout from rivals, while there's plenty of premium materials in use throughout the cabin. Other positives include a big boot and good passenger space, but it isn’t the sharpest drive and doesn’t offer much in terms of power or overall efficiency.

With just 134bhp and average fuel economy of 44-52mpg, the key figures for the 3008 hybrid model aren’t too hot. But it balances its skillset with a sizable 588-litre boot and plenty of interior storage, which means it’s a reasonably practical proposition. Standard equipment is good, with this GT model featuring 19-inch alloy wheels, Pixel LED headlights, a black contrast roof, a handsfree (foot operated) automatic tailgate, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and go, adaptive cruise control, a heating function for the front seats and steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, and Peugeot’s new 21-inch curved display which incorporates driver information and infotainment systems.

BMW 3 Series Touring: £333 a month

The BMW 3 Series Touring has always been a desirable option, offering plenty of style and practicality, while also being great to drive. The term ‘all the car you’ll ever need’ is often bandied about, but the talented German estate has to be up there with the best all-rounders currently on offer. Servicing costs can be on the high side, but it remains a very comfortable, refined family car that's packed with the latest BMW tech. 

Buying a 3 Series Touring is a good thing because it should keep everyone in the family pretty happy. Whoever’s driving it on a daily basis will find it offers plenty of fun from behind the wheel, while the practical space, onboard tech and levels of comfort means passengers are well catered for, too. This particular deal is for a Touring model in BMW’s popular M Sport specification, which brings a more dynamic look. There’s the usual exterior body styling kit, lowered suspension, and 18-inch double-spoke alloys, along with front sports seats, an M Sport steering wheel and M PerformTex black cloth upholstery. The rear-wheel drive 320i model utilises a 2.0-litre, turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 182bhp – enough for a 0-62mph time of 7.6 seconds, while average fuel economy is around 37-41mpg.

Ford Puma: £217 a month

We think that the Ford Puma is the best small SUV to drive, and it seems the UK public would agree. Finishing at the top of the sales charts for 2024, the Puma was facelifted last year to give it an extra boost inside and out. Admittedly, the exterior changes are subtle, but the cabin benefits from an updated dash design, improvements in material quality and a larger infotainment screen that runs Ford’s SYNC4 system.

There’s not an awful lot to dislike about the Ford Puma – it’s a great small SUV. We don’t rate the sluggish seven-speed automatic option, but that just makes the cheaper, slick-shifting manual models all the more appealing. ST-Line specification offers a sportier look, with a styling kit and lowered suspension, while the interior features upgraded ST-Line upholstery. Other standard kit includes a heated windscreen, a rear camera, cruise control and a 12.8-inch display with integrated navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This 123bhp 1.0-litre, mild-hybrid petrol model completes the 0-62mph benchmark in 9.8 seconds, with claimed average fuel economy of 52.3mpg.

Volkswagen ID.3: £195 a month

The Volkswagen ID.3 is a good all-electric family hatchback. With a decent range, refined driving experience and solid practicality, it’ll tick a lot of boxes for buyers. Interior quality was improved via a facelift in 2023, and a further tweak in 2024 saw the inclusion of an updated infotainment system, along with a bigger display and more user friendly controls.

This ID.3 Pure Match model features a generous level of standard equipment, including 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control, a rear view camera, heated front seats, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charging, and VW’s Discover Pro navigation system. The 52kWh battery and single, rear-mounted motor produce 168bhp, which helps propel the ID.3 from 0-62mph in 8.2 seconds. VW claims an average range of 240 miles, while charging from 0-100% using a 7.4kW home wallbox should take around 8.5 hours.

BMW 7 Series: £406 a month

This BMW 7 Series deal offers a lot of car for the money. It’s a truly luxurious way to travel, with every occupant feeling comfortable and cosseted, while there’s plenty of useful onboard tech that complements the 7 Series’ outstanding build quality. Throw in strong performance, plug-in hybrid efficiency and the possibility of completing the work commute solely on electric power, and it might just tick all the executive boxes.

This 750e xDrive model comes in Excellence specification and, if you were to make a straight purchase from your local dealer, would cost you more than £100k. Standard equipment includes adaptive LED headlights, a powered tailgate, a soft-close function for the doors, a panoramic glass sunroof, heated front seats, four-zone climate control, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional infotainment setup with a head-up display. With 482bhp, the 7 Series is no slouch either; 0-62mph taking just 4.8 seconds.

Ford Focus: £232 a month

Despite not being as popular as it once was, the Ford Focus remains a very good family hatchback. SUVs have taken over the UK motoring scene to such an extent that the humble five-door hatch is struggling to stay relevant. But the Focus is still good to drive, with plenty of comfort and more cabin space than ever. Running costs are reasonable too, while its onboard infotainment system is slick and easy to use.

The Focus ST-Line trim level is a popular choice and with good reason. It brings a more dynamic look over the entry Titanium model, with 17-inch alloys, ST-Line body styling, a rear spoiler and sports tuned suspension all included as standard, while there’s also LED headlights, keyless entry and start, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control. Ford’s impressive SYNC4 infotainment system – that features a 13.2-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto – rounds off an appealing package.

Mazda CX-30: £209 a month

The Mazda CX-30 is a well-built compact SUV that edges towards a premium level of interior quality. Based on the 3 hatchback, it’s good to drive and looks suitably stylish, although rear passenger space and boot capacity aren’t class-leading. The CX-30 offsets this drawback with an outstanding safety rating and onboard tech that is simple and easy to use.

The latest Mazda CX-30 uses a 138bhp 2.5-litre petrol engine that improves overall fuel economy and helps to lower CO2 emissions. Mazda claims 47.1mpg on the WLTP combined cycle, although performance is merely adequate with 0-62mph taking 9.7 seconds in this six-speed manual version. The Prime Line trim includes 16-inch grey alloys, a reversing camera, radar cruise control, a head-up display, and a 10.25-inch display with integrated navigation and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
