Bought as a compact daily run about for the two of us and dog. Good sound, questionable build quality. Comfy enough on longer trips. Good flexibility from gearbox and engine albeit with limited power. Suffered from leaky boot, had to wait two weeks for parts!

Had this car from new and put 18,000+ on it a year. It has never missed a beat from day one. Now at 52,000 on the clock, mostly motorway miles. It has had one service and a set of tyres on the front. The only minor issue is the Bluetooth won't pair if its been parked up on a hot day for too long (it's like the radio console overheats due to its position on the dashboard.) I would 100% have another one and am looking into a second one for when my wife passes her test.

Lovely looking car with good level of kit and comfortable to drive. Gear change indicator comes on when doing 60 in top gear on occasions and at other random times. Be wary of warranty issues; Peugeot 108 exactly one year old with approximately 6000 miles. Problem with brake squeal and judder when braking. Peugeot refusing to repair as they advise that discs corroded. They advise that this is related to my low mileage and that this would not be an issue if I did average 12000 mileage. I'm sure that 6000 is a reasonably common mileage and many people don't do 12000 a year. Im sure many people would surprised by this attitude and ruling and my 3 year warranty appears to be worthless, if this is typical Peugeot practice. I'm sure they would say wear and tear if I had done 20k and they seem to want it each way.

I updated my Peugeot 107 to a 108 Roland Garros version. I cannot fault this car - it is an excellent drive and it's inexpensive to run. A very good buy for the money.

The Peugeot 108 is my fourth car in two years and it is the best car I have owned. Interior is lovely and the touchscreen is great. Easy to use and set up and great to answer calls through Bluetooth connection. I regularly use this car to commute between Glasgow and Edinburgh on motorways and find that it drives very well. It is a lovely car to drive and doesn't feel slow. The Top! Version has a folding roof which folds down easily just by pushing a button. The extra sunlight however can make it slightly more difficult to see the touchscreen but this isn't too bad. The car looks quite compact and small however it is fairly big inside. Overall, I think the new Peugeot is a fantastic car and would highly recommend it.

What a superb car loaded with useful equipment . Great handling and comfort. Cool looks, ideal round town but it will be tried on the motorway Some much improvement on the Peugeot 107, instead of copying a Toyota it seems as though this is a real Peugeot. Acceleration is nippy and it is fun to drive if you are a real driver the best can easily be got out of the power unit. The classy rev counter is there for that purpose, this three cylinder thrives on revs. So pleased with this car.

There are only two problems with this car, it has a lousy automatic box, please make it a pure torque-converter auto Peugeot. In some ways, the semi auto is far better than the previous 107 auto as you can floor it and it will still change fine with no mad revving between changes: the computer stops that. It also has kickdown. However, I drive it in easy mode and use the paddles to change up as it changes down for you and doesn't change up fast enough, it holds low gears. You can't sit in traffic on hills in drive, either: it could burn the clutch out. You should always remember that this is a robotised manual and not a true automatic. The other fault is the tinny metal used. Slam the door and it feels very tinny and thin. It looks good in the showroom until you slam the doors. The bigger 208 feels far better. The best part is the stereo, but it needs rear speakers. It has a 7-inch screen, sat nav, DAB radio and an impressive sound with clean, deep bass and from the doors and lovely highs from the tweeters. The fuel consumption is pretty good, too. It's worth mentioning that that in april 2018 the 108 was updated with a better engine and touchscreen but most important of all it was made with more soundproofing and the doors are now more solid. go to a dealer and slam the doors, they have much more of a feeling of quality. If you could get it with the 110 hp 6 speed you can choose in the newish 208 it would a superb car!

I have this car as a lease car as work in the community for the NHS. I have never written a review for a car but I am so appalled by the poor manufacturing of the 108 I have to let others know. This is a city car and was new but ypu wouldn’t think it. When the window is down slightly it rattles and the car is noisy to drive. Within 2 months the hubcap nuts went rusty on all 4 wheels. I recently had to take my car in to be fixed and had a 2017 108 and again all the bolts are rusty so obviously a common occurrence. Not something you would expect with a brand new car. Then during heavy rain the whole of the boot leaked so severely it looked like a swimming pool. I had to have the whole boot resealed and brake light replaced as that was where it all collected. Amazing The electrics didn’t trip! A year and half later along the sides of the car the paintwork has bubbled up. This is along the whole of both the left and roght side. I am really unimpressed by how poorly made this car is. I will never have another one as it isn’t nice to drive at all but to have all this go wrong within 2 years isn’t good enough. I would recommend that if you want a city car you look at the Argo or hyundai which is what I will do for my next lease car.

I bought this car brand new after moving to Portugal, I hated it, just sold my 2014 Mondeo 2.0 Diesel Titanium X Automatic. It was the first new car I have ever bought my previous was 9 months old. It was slow not responsive. Then bang after around 5000km (3000 miles roughly) it came alive , the right engine slackened off, and was more responsive, it is comfortable enough to drive and the range of speed in third gear is amazing. The music system is reasonable and it has a great Bluetooth facility for both music and phone use. It handles reasonably well too. Fuel consumption is fantastic running cost are fantastic , these little 3 cylinder Japanese engines are well made and easily maintained and can run for thousands of miles a great car that has given me no problems.

Good little run about, cheap to insure and free road tax. Mine has extra equipment like keyless entry, lane departure warning and active city stop also full leather and reverse camera but it wasnt cheap although the cheaper versions do feel and look cheap too much plastic and bare metal all in all good little car.

Can't fault this car one bit. The usefulness of being able to receive hands-free calls without any fuss is amazing. The 7" touch screen is child's play. The fuel economy is brilliant and no more dreaded road tax. While driving it feels like you're gliding because it's so smooth. If you're after a city car, buy one of these.

A good little car, that happens to be good on fuel, has cheap insurance and as it's a pre-April 2017 model - no road tax!

The peugeot 108 is a lovely little car with great exterior looks and is very cheap on fuel. It's a shame about the massive seats in the front as it leaves no leg room for adults in the back. The interior is average with a lot of cheap materials used but what can I say – its a cheap car. The ride and driving experience is average and it does sometimes feel like the wheel is going to fall off going over small potholes. There's lots of room in the front though with a great 7-inch touchscreen with lots of features, all in all its not the best overall city car out there but definitely looks one of the best

As a second runabout I can’t fault this car. It manages 48mpg without trying and on 90% urban driving. It costs £180 a year to insure, £40 to brim with a return of 400 miles to a tank, tyres cost less than £50 each (branded) and £0 Road tax (cars after 2017 cost £140p/a due to government regulation changes). We do 5000 miles p/a. Including servicing I estimate we spend less than £700 a year to run it which is amazing. It’s not great for long journeys due to its lack of power and space, the ‘Mirrorlink’ phone integration only seems to work with a Nokia 3210 and the interior plastics are rather basic. However, this is a budget car so don’t let that put you off. This car shares 90% of its components with the Citroen C1 and Toyota Aygo so parts, when eventually needed, will be easy to source- I understand much of the car is based on the previous generation (107 etc) and there’s plenty of those still on the road which is testament to their overall reliability. One further thing to consider when purchasing is that this is a chain driven engine so there are no costly cam belt changes. The VW offering (Up!, Citi-Go or Mii) has a cambelt and there is debate as to its change intervals (most suspect 4 years / 40k Miles) at a cost of £400. On a budget car this requires consideration. Depreciation if purchased 2nd hand is minimal - a 3 year old car costs approx £5500 with values for 6 year old cars dropping to around £4000.

Great fun, economical and a safe car to drive. The full fabric roof is nice to have in the summer – it's easy to use and you can have it fully open or half open.
What's the one thing you like most about your car?
I love the full fabric sunroof and also being VED exempt with low insurance.
If you could improve one thing, what would it be?
A bit more power
