I find my new M5 much heavier, stodgier and less agile than the previous model. Getting the power down on anything but perfect dry tarmac is frustrating, the brakes struggle to cope and I hate the DST gearbox. Driving it feels like piloting a very powerful oil tanker with fuel economy to match.

Probably the most perfect car I've ever owned. Everything works flawlessly and puts a smile on my face every time I get behind the wheel. Yes it's expensive and running costs are high, but try finding a cheap and efficient car that'll give you the same experience.

Have had BMWs for years, time was right to move up into the M Division, and what a promotion. This car is so well behaved in and around town it drives quiet and relaxed in comfort and efficient mode, but set those M buttons up and let the devil entertain you and enjoy the ride....

Apart from a clutch slave cylinder, it has never let me down despite numerous high speed runs around Europe
