The Skoda Enyaq has been around now for a few years, and we’ve yet to hear of any horror stories with regards to reliability. It sits on the same MEB platform as the Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4, along with a host of forthcoming products from sister brands, and is the result of a vast amount of financial and engineering investment.
Skoda Enyaq reliability
Some may be concerned that the Enyaq is Skoda's first-ever electric car but the reality isn't quite as straightforward as that. It sits on the same MEB platform as the Volkswagen ID.3 and ID.4, along with a host of forthcoming products from sister brands, and is the result of a vast amount of financial and engineering investment.
Skoda as a brand came in a disappointing 23rd place from 32 car manufacturers in our 2024 brand satisfaction survey, which was three places down on 2023 and 2022. Overall, a middling 23.7% of owners reported an issue with their cars within the first year of ownership, but this isn’t solely attributed to the electric Enyaq.
Safety
Safety has already been assured, thanks to a full five-star rating from Euro NCAP, the independent crash-test body. It scored well across the board, with 94% and 89% for adult and child occupant protection respectively. A score of 82% in the Safety Assist category also goes to show how impressive its crash-mitigation features are.
Standard safety kit includes front, side and curtain airbags, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking and ISOFIX child-seat mounting points for the front and outer rear passenger seats.
