The looks of the Rapid are phenomenal, people have complimented its looks, acres of space and great kit. The suspension is fantastic even with the 17" wheels. It copes well with hills, even wanting to go into 6th at one point. The kit is overwhelming, satnav, climate control, cruise control etc. All for roughly £16,500, it can carry a family of three and a dog with all the luggage with room to spare with no complications. Far better than our previous car (Suzuki Swift). It is also very quiet even at 80mph (of course we never hit that). Overall a very surprising car, from an unrecognised brand with excellent service.

A surprisingly good car. This is my 6th Skoda after having had 5 Fabias/Felicia's/Favorits and replaces a Fabia estate. Being quite tall there was no legroom for anyone sitting behind me in the new Fabia, space in the Rapid is much better being similar to an insignia, i.e. plenty and much better than a Focus or Astra which had tight rear legroom. (I tried lots of cars). Radio with usb input is great and it's has air con. Shame it doesn't have Bluetooth to connect a phone (dealer mis-sold it on that basis so now have a separate Bluetooth unit!). Car interior is quite nice, seats comfy, ride excellent even on country B roads and it's has plenty of spare power. However I seem to drive I am always getting 54 to 55mpg even without using the stop/start system much with a fuel tank range of 650 plus miles. The diesel is a bit noisy at high speeds (much quieter than the previous 1.4 three cylinder diesel I had in my last Fabia estate) but there is hardly any wind noise. Improvements I would like to see are additional closed storage compartments in the front (their is only a single glovebox) and Bluetooth should be standard across the range as it is with the Fabia.
