2025 Toyota Yaris announced with minor upgrades
Toyota Yaris will get a minor nip and tuck for 2025 to keep it fighting fit against rivals
- New paint colour options
- New 18-inch matt-finish alloy wheels
- Launching in February 2025
The Toyota Yaris is one of the brand’s best-selling cars, sitting above the Aygo X and below the Yaris Cross in its lineup. It already underwent some updates earlier this year, which brought a new more potent hybrid system and a larger infotainment system on higher-spec models, but Toyota is further tweaking the Yaris for 2025 to keep it fighting fit against rivals like the Vauxhall Corsa, Renault Clio E-Tech and Hyundai i20, all of which have recently been facelifted.
So what’s new for the 2025 Toyota Yaris?
The main addition to the 2025 Toyota Yaris is new paint options for the GR Sport, including a Storm Grey colour which can also be had in a bi-tone finish with a black roof. There’s also a new set of 18-inch alloy wheels on this model, while Toyota covers the interior with GR Sport badging on the headrests and steering wheel, along with gunmetal grey trim with red stitching for more of a sporting identity.
Aside from the GR Sport, the rest of the Yaris range gets the option of a Forest Green paintjob, also offered either in a monotone or bi-tone finish.
What else is there to know about the 2025 Toyota Yaris?
There are no changes under the bonnet, but the Yaris was only recently updated with a second, more potent hybrid option both centres around a 1.5-litre three-cylinder engine and electric motor with either 114bhp or 129bhp. The Yaris is automatic-only in the UK, despite a non-hybrid manual being offered in other markets abroad.
Those 2024 updates also brought a larger 10.5-inch infotainment screen on higher-spec trims, and this will also remain for 2025.
How much will the 2025 Toyota Yaris cost and when can I buy one?
The updated Yaris will arrive in February 2025, but there’s no word on pricing yet. Currently, the Yaris costs from £22,640 in entry-level Icon trim, while the top-of-the-range GR Sport starts from £29,115. This will be a very minor update, so we wouldn’t expect prices to increase significantly, and UK-specific details are yet to be confirmed.
