Citroën C4 SpaceTourer MPV (2013-2019) - Practicality & boot space
The Citroen C4 SpaceTourer has a big boot and generously sized rear seats are perfect for families
Citroen has focused on making the SpaceTourer a comfortable, easy-to-use family car. This includes a raised driving position that combines with a slim windscreen pillar with an extra window panel to give you a great view of the road when pulling out of junctions or onto a roundabout. There’s plenty of legroom, too.
Citroen C4 SpaceTourer interior space & storage
The Citroen C4 SpaceTourer has a pretty small glovebox as a result of the car's conversion from left to right-hand drive, but in almost every other respect, the Citroen is a very practical car, offering plenty of useful storage areas.
The SpaceTourer’s electric parking brake means there’s space for a large central storage bin with 12v and USB sockets, plus there are front and rear underfloor bins and drawers under the front seats.
In the back, all models have three individual seats and a flat floor, so there's plenty of space for the middle passenger's feet and there should be more than enough head and legroom for everyone. In Feel and Flair models, the back seats recline for extra comfort and can also slide forwards and backwards, so you can vary legroom and boot space to suit your needs. The SpaceTourer has ISOFIX child-seat mounts on all three rear seats, which is particularly reassuring if you have young children.
Boot space
Even without adjustable rear seats, the SpaceTourer leads its class for boot capacity. With all the seats in place, it offers 537 litres of room for luggage, which extends to 1,851 litres with all the seats down. The Flair model has a powered bootlid, but all C4 SpaceTourers feature a flat boot floor and no load lip, so sliding heavy items in is very easy.
Towing
The Citroen C4 SpaceTourer makes a good tow car. Diesel models are best suited to this task; they can manage between 1,400 and 1,700kg, depending on which engine you go for.
