The new Honda e Limited Edition has been unveiled. The latest version of Honda’s electric supermini will be restricted to just 50 units for the whole of Europe and boasts a unique colour scheme.

As seen being driven by Formula One World Champion, Max Verstappen, the new car gets exclusive Premium Crystal Red paintwork. This is contrasted by gloss black badges and a unique set of 17-inch black alloy wheels.
Elsewhere, the Honda e Limited Edition is business as usual, with a funky interior that centres around large infotainment displays that sweep across the entire dashboard. This is flanked by additional screens that display images from the e’s aerodynamic door mirror cameras.
All versions of the Honda e are powered by a 134bhp electric motor, supplied by a 35.5kWh battery. This provides a range of around 130 miles; drivers can also charge from 10-80% in just half-an-hour, thanks to standard 50kW fast-charging capability.
The Honda e Limited Edition is on sale now from £38,120 – £1,200 more than the range-topping Advance model. When speaking about the new car, Verstappen said: “The Honda e Limited Edition is simply lovely… It has funky looks, a compact design and is fun to drive. It’s a great electric urban vehicle.”
Yet, despite its undeniable charm, Honda has failed to secure many sales for its tiny EV. One of the main reasons for this is the Honda e’s hefty price tag; rivals such as the Fiat 500 and Nissan Leaf start from around £10,000 less. While the new Limited Edition won’t completely flip the tables in Honda’s favour, the Japanese brand hopes it will restore interest in its otherwise solid entry into the small EV market.
