Kia Niro Connect: Design and interior
The Niro Connect SUV is equipped with a suite of in-car tech and driver assistance systems as standard. Compared with the version it's based on, it adds a 10.25-inch touchscreen, sat-nav, a 4.2-inch colour display mounted in instrument cluster, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other additions include the brand’s UVO Connect system, which adds remote functionality via a smartphone app and a USB charger in the centre console. Forward collision-avoidance assist and a towing pack are also fitted.
Inside, cloth and leather upholstery are fitted, along with chrome finished door handles. The exterior door handles also get chrome trim, and buyers can choose from three additional standard paint colours: ‘Runway Red’, ‘Ocean Blue’ and ‘Steel Grey’.
The Connect range
Alongside the Kia Niro Connect, the XCeed crossover has also gained a new Connect trim. It also sits above the ‘2’ trim level, and replaces the XCeed Edition adding the same 10.25-inch touchscreen and 4.2-inch colour information display found in the Niro Connect.
The XCeed Connect also features an exclusive ‘Fusion Orange’ exterior paint colour, 18-inch alloy wheels and heated door mirrors. It’s only available with a 1.0-litre T-GDi petrol engine, which is linked to a six-speed manual gearbox. The XCeed Connect is on sale now priced from £21,775, an increase of £565 over the outgoing Edition model.
