Mercedes-AMG A 45 review - Practicality & boot space
Somehow the A 45 S' performance parts barely affect its practicality
One of the key attributes of any hot hatchback is that it should still be able to complete ordinary tasks without serious compromise. The A 45 S does surprisingly well in this regard, given the searing performance available. The standard A-Class' 370-litre boot is unchanged, with a 40/20/40-split rear bench to liberate more cargo space and a wider loading aperture than the previous model.
Front passenger space is perfectly fine, and there's lots of adjustment for the driver to find a comfortable position. It's not quite as spacious in the back because the bucket seats in the front take up extra space; there's more room in the back of a Volkswagen Golf R and a Honda Civic Type R.
