MG6 hatchback (2010-2016) - Reliability & safety
Optional five-year warranty and decent reliability should give peace of mind
MG6 reliability
MG stunned the general public in 2014 by entering the Driver Power owner satisfaction survey in sixth place. In terms of reliability, the manufacturer finished mid-table, behind Honda and Toyota but ahead of Hyundai, Nissan and Renault. The company now offers up to five years' warranty cover, too.
MG6 safety
In Chinese safety tests, the car received a full five stars, but in the much more stringent Euro NCAP crash tests, it was awarded only four. That said, it does come equipped with ABS brakes, electronic stability control and side, front and passenger airbags as standard.
