New Jaguar XK models announced
The new Jaguar XK range is on sale now and it's significantly cheaper than before
Details of the new Jaguar XK Signature and Jaguar XK Dynamic R models have been announced – as part of a totally revamped Jaguar XK range. The cars are available in both coupe and convertible form and are significantly cheaper than the models they replace.
The Dynamic R is a performance-focused version of the XK and replaces the old Jaguar XKR model. It keeps the same powerful supercharged 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine but now comes with Jaguar’s Speed Pack as standard, which gives it a more aerodynamic body and an increased top speed of 174mph. The car produces 503bhp and can do 0-60mph in 4.6 seconds.
The Dynamic R is still not as extreme as the Jaguar XKR-S but it does now share the same lower and firmer suspension, which comes as part of the standard Black Dynamic Pack. The car also gets a special performance exhaust as standard.
The Signature model is the new version of the standard Jaguar XK and the manufacturer has focused on making the car more luxurious than the old one. The Signature gets an interior featuring soft grain leather, suede and ebony veneers and, just like the Dynamic R, a camera for reverse parking.
Both new models come with a choice of large 20-inch alloy wheels and will be available in six different colours - British Racing Green, Italian Racing Red, Ultimate Black, Polaris White, Stratus Grey and Dark Sapphire blue.
The new models are available to order now, with first deliveries scheduled for March. The Jaguar XK Signature starts at £54,950, while the XK Dynamic R is priced at £69,950. The new cars' prices represent savings of around £10,000 on their outgoing equivalents.
