New Genesis GV60 gets giant touchscreen as part of 2025 overhaul
Updated electric SUV arrives with sportier styling and an enormous 27-inch interior screen
- Sportier exterior styling
- New 27-inch interior display
- Expected to get larger battery from Kia EV6
The Genesis GV60 has been given an overhaul for 2025, with a smattering of updates inside and out – including a whopping new 27-inch interior touchscreen.
The electric SUV is closely related to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and the Kia EV6, both of which received their own updates earlier last year. The new GV60 completes the trio of updated South Korean EVs and is expected to pick up the same battery updates found in the Hyundai and Kia. There’s no word on UK pricing yet, but more details are expected to be revealed later this year.
What’s new for the 2025 Genesis GV60?
It’s a "comprehensive update” for the GV60 according to Genesis, with its first styling and interior changes since it went on sale in 2021.
Up front, there’s a redesigned front bumper with a pair of more pronounced air intakes beneath the headlights. Those headlights are new, too, using ‘Micro Lens Array’ tech pinched from the flagship Genesis G90 saloon sold in North America. The rear bumper and cladding around the wheelarches are now finished in body colour rather than grey, while the wheels have grown to 21 inches in diameter.
There’s no mention of any changes under the skin yet, but we’d expect the new GV60 to arrive with the upgraded battery found in the latest Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6. That could mean a new 84kWh battery in place of the outgoing GV60’s 77kWh unit, with range potentially rising from 321 miles to around 360 miles.
What’s more exciting is the new GV60 Magma that’s been confirmed to be coming to the UK later this year. Much like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and Kia EV6 GT, it will be the performance-focused version of the GV60 and is likely to pack the same 641bhp dual-motor setup.
What about the new interior touchscreen?
Moving inside the new GV60, the headline feature is that brand new 27-inch touchscreen display. It replaces the old pair of 12.3-inch screens with a single panel that stretches across the dashboard and is used for both driving information and infotainment. Other interior changes include the new three-spoke steering wheel, while the quirky rotating ‘Crystal Sphere’ gear selector remains.
How much will the new Genesis GV60 cost?
UK prices and specifications haven’t been confirmed yet, but we’d expect a small rise over the outgoing GV60 which costs from £54,000.
