Deal of the week: Volkswagen Golf
Save £2,000 on the latest VW Golf Mk VII.
Volkswagen is offering £2,000 off a MK VII Golf, with prices now starting form £15,880 for the 5dr Golf S with 1.2 TSI six-speed gearbox until 31 March 2013.
There’s plenty of equipment to play with in the Golf, as all models come with DAB reception and Bluetooth connectivity as standard, while higher-spec models also come with adaptive cruise control, rain sensors and automatic dimming interior rearview mirror. The Golf also comes with a user-friendly touchscreen as standard, with the DVD/sat nav upgrade a worthwhile extra.Driving the Golf is a breeze, with speed-sensitive power-assisted steering, automatic driving lights, a multifunction leather steering wheel, hill hold function, front and rear parking sensors, and rear-view camera.
VW have included an Anti-lock Breaking System, driver and front passenger whiplash-optimised head restraints for maximum safety, as well as a break pad wear indicator, flat tyre indicator and electronic engine immobiliser.
The Golf has more than enough room to carry five people comfortably, with plenty of knee and headroom. The rear seats fold almost flat at the tug of a lever, and the front passenger seat will also fold forward for very long items of luggage.
Every model comes with Bluemotion technology that includes engine stop/start and brake energy recuperation as standard, helping to keep emissions low and fuel economy high, as well as roadside assistance, a three-year/60,000 mile warranty and a 12-year body protection warranty.
