Jaguar F-Type Convertible interior space & storage

The Jaguar F-Type has been designed from the ground up as a slinky two-seat sports car and few sacrifices are made for the sake of everyday usability. There’s no wasted space at all, but with plenty of adjustment in the seats and the steering wheel even tall drivers are able to find a natural driving position.

It all adds to the sense of occasion and the F-Type definitely makes you feel like you’re hunkered down in the cockpit of a sports car. The low seat height does conspire to make rear visibility poor, so many people may want to consider the optional reversing camera.

Unfortunately, things like a wind deflector, lockable storage bin and space-saver spare wheel are optional, but the fully electric roof does operate automatically at speeds of up to 30mph – which comes in handy if you get caught in the rain, and the slim door pockets will swallow a surprising amount of stuff.

Boot space

The 200-litre boot is small and awkwardly shaped, so there's only enough space for a couple of soft bags. There's more room in a Porsche Boxster, which (thanks to its mid-engined layout) has boots at both the front and rear. In better news, boot space in the F-Type is the same with the roof up or down, so you needn’t decide before you set off whether you want the wind in your hair.
