Best car to drive every day smooth and reliable. Plug in hybrid gives pre entry control over heating and cooling which means getting into a warm car with a clear windscreen in the winter months. Driver assistance package provides near automated driving on motorways providing safe relaxing travel over long distances. Plenty of charge points in Milton Keynes enables trips to town centre in electric only mode.

Stay well clear of this hybrid!!! Very jerky drive and incredibly poor mpg, dealership states it's not a fault, it's a characteristic, absolutely awful to drive, worst car I have ever owned and makes you wonder if Mercedes are doing a VW regarding the fuel consumption figures

The car is blissfully comfortable, with comfort seats and massaging seats, plus the standard 18" wheels and tyres. Its also economical and quick, getting to 60 in around the same time as the S55AMG I had in 2001. The only niggle is that the radio idents do not work properly. So, if a traffic announcement states that there is a problem, you cant be sure where that is. As we use the car for long distance trips, its annoying. The Dealer tried to sort it out on a number of occasions, until he realised that their own demonstrator had the same fault, when he passed the problem over to Mercedes. Their response was that it is considered 'normal' by their engineers, to which I responded that my wife's GLC didn't do it, so was that abnormal? I got no reply, so I would have to take the Dealer to Court if I wanted to take it further.

This is the best car I've ever owned. It looks fantastic, it performs like a sports car, it is reliable and the fuel economy is very good. The technology is astonishing and it will drive itself, on long journeys this is priceless, just sit back and let the car do its job. I can't praise this car too much. I looked at Aston Martin, Porsche, Bentley etc and none of them came up to the quality and build or running costs of the Merc.

The new S Class is a fantastic car - fast, quite, comfortable, loads of space, lots of really useful driver aids. The LED headlights are simply fantastic and make driving at night less tiring. I get anywhere between 44 and 50mpg driving on motorways at 85mph, which is incredible given the size and performance of the car, averaging 44mpg. It is very, very quite with a beautifully smooth ride quality, I've never driven a car like it. Lane assist, active cruise control and the other driver aids are really useful and take some of the stress out of driving on busy and congested motorways. The Burmester audio system sounds brilliant, the best I have had in a car (had Harman Kardon and Bose in other cars).
