Skoda Elroq review – Reliability & safety
“We’d expect the Skoda Elroq to be reliable and safe, and it comes with lots of safety assistance tech”
The Skoda Elroq is too new to have features in our Driver Power customer satisfaction survey. Skoda as a brand doesn’t do particularly well in the survey, and came in 23rd place in 2024 with middling 23.7% of Skoda owners reporting an issue with their car in the first year.
How safe is the Skoda Elroq?
While the Skoda Elroq might not have a Euro NCAP safety rating yet, we’re expecting a five-star score – every other car sharing its MEB building blocks has achieved this feat.
Our guess is backed up by the amount of safety kit included with the Elroq too, because everything from autonomous emergency braking (that can detect vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists) to emergency steering support is included. This can help avoid an accident if you need to take sudden avoiding action.
The Elroq also gets features including lane-keep assist and blind spot detection to make motorway driving safer and less stressful.
What are the Skoda Elroq service intervals?
Skoda offers a range of service plans, allowing owners to pay upfront or monthly. They’re designed for people who drive up to 10,000 miles per year, but Skoda says if you plan to cover more miles than that, they can offer a “tailored service plan.”
What is the warranty on the Skoda Elroq?
The Skoda Elroq comes with a three-year/60,000-mile warranty as standard, which isn’t as long as quite a few rivals offer, including the seven years thrown in by Kia and MG. You can extend the warranty for an extra fee, though, extending it to four years/100,000 miles or five years/100,000 miles for £400 and just over £600 respectively.
