To set it apart from regular Enyaq, the Founders Edition has 21-inch alloy wheels and a choice of two special paint finishes: Black Magic or Arctic Silver. Opting for the Black Magic paint scheme adds black painted alloys with copper accents and copper coloured badging on the tailgate, while Arctic Silver models get black alloys with silver accents and a black finish for the tailgate badging.
Every version gets the illuminated ‘Crystal Face’ front grille, which houses 130 LEDs in 18 vertical strips. Other changes include a gloss black finish on the front grille, window frames and roof rails, as well as Founders Edition badging on the front wings.
The Founders Edition comes with the Suite Design interior trim pack, including piano black trim, black leather-trimmed seats with copper piping and matching floor mats. Other additions include a black headliner, aluminium pedals, rear privacy glass and acoustic side windows that help minimise road noise. The interior also gets a model specific plaque on the steering wheel featuring the build number of the car.
A heated three-spoke multifunction steering wheel with paddle shifters to adjust the brake regeneration is also fitted, along with progressive steering and Drive model select, which has Eco, Normal and Sport settings. Keyless entry and start and wireless smartphone charging are also standard, together with an alert system to remind the driver to take their phone out of the car when the ignition is switched off.
The Founders Edition is only available with the Enyaq iV 80 powertrain, meaning it gets a 201bhp single electric motor mounted on the rear axle and can do 0-62mph in 8.5 seconds.
The powertrain is fed by a 77kWh battery, helping to deliver a range of 333 miles between charges. It also gets 125kW rapid DC charging as standard, with a 0-80% top up taking around 38 minutes. When using a 7kW AC wallbox charger, a full charge takes around 13 hours.
