Subaru Levorg estate - Reliability & safety (2015-2020)
We expect the Subaru Levorg to continue the brand’s tradition of great dependability
Subaru built its reputation in the UK among farmers and country types back in the eighties with a series of robust, simple and dependable cars like the Justy and Legacy.
Its cars have become a bit more sophisticated since then, but haven’t lost their standing as generally very reliable machines. The Levorg achieved the full five stars when it was crash-tested by Euro NCAP and has plenty of technology on board to help you avoid a crash.
Subaru Levorg reliability
Subaru’s continued good standing with UK owners was confirmed with a sixth-place finish in our 2019 Driver Power customer satisfaction survey. Indeed, Subaru has been a fixture in the top 10 for the last five years.
There aren’t enough Levorgs out there for the car to have featured in the individual Driver Power model rankings yet, but Subaru’s dealers were rated third overall in 2019 so there’s every reason to trust the service you’re going to get from the brand.
Safety
The Subaru Levorg received a five-star crash-test rating from Euro NCAP, scoring highly across all four main categories including 92% in the adult occupant protection category.
Levorg owners get plenty of technology that aims to avoid collisions altogether: Subaru fitted its EyeSight driver assistance system to the car when it was facelifted early in 2017. The system consists of a dual-camera setup mounted high in the windscreen and is claimed to be more advanced than rival systems. It brings safety features such as pre-collision braking, adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assistance.
