Reliability & safety Rating

4.0 out of 5

The Vauxhall Grandland is too new to have featured on our Driver Power customer satisfaction survey, though Vauxhall as a brand did appear in the list of 32 manufacturers in a disappointing 26th place as rated by owners. It performed best in the categories for economy and running costs where it placed ninth, but it placed 29th for practicality and 27th for interior quality. In terms of reliability, the brand performs slightly better than average with 21% of owners reporting an issue with their Vauxhall in the first year.

How safe is the Vauxhall Grandland?

The Vauxhall Grandland is yet to be tested by Euro NCAP for safety, but it does come with a very comprehensive suite of safety tech as standard, called Vauxhall PureSense. This includes kit such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic sign recognition and a driver fatigue monitoring system among other features.

What are the Vauxhall Grandland service intervals?

Vauxhall offers affordable servicing plans to keep costs more digestible when it comes round to keeping your car well maintained. Service intervals tend to be required every 10,000 miles or every 12 months, but it’s worth checking with Vauxhall directly.

What is the warranty on the Vauxhall Grandland?

The Vauxhall Grandland comes with the manufacturer’s standard warranty that covers it for up to three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. That’s not impressive by current standards, with many manufacturers offering the same with no mileage limit, or 100,000 miles, which tends to be the industry standard.

Kia and Hyundai famously offer much longer warranties which cover their cars for up to seven or five years, respectively, and even budget brand Dacia now covers its cars for up to five years, so long as it’s serviced by a main dealer. Toyota offers one of the most comprehensive warranties, with its cars covered for up to 10 years or 100,000 miles, so long as it’s serviced every year by a main dealer.
