Citroen C3 Aircross Rip Curl special edition launched
High-spec Citroen C3 Aircross is now on sale from £21,610

- Equipped with 108bhp petrol engine
- Based on top-spec Flair
- Available to order now
The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV can now be ordered in a limited-edition Rip Curl specification. Citroen’s latest collaboration with surfing brand Rip Curl sees its small SUV get plenty of standard kit and colourful decoration inside and out. You can order the new trim level immediately, with first customer deliveries expected in July.
Starting from £21,610, the new car is £450 more than the Flair trim on which it’s based. Many of the C3 Aircross’ rivals, including the Honda HR-V, Nissan Juke and SEAT Arona, have much more expensive range-topping models, but the Citroen is hardly lacking in equipment.
Like the Flair trim, the Rip Curl edition includes auto wipers, sat nav with connected services, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, a rear parking camera, all-round electric windows, autonomous emergency braking and a sliding rear bench seat. It seems buyers are happy to pay extra for the top-spec trim; Citroen reports that Flair accounts for 86% of sales, and plenty of buyers then add personalisation elements.

Rip Curl models come with roof bars, alloy wheels and underbody protection all painted black. They also feature a black contrasting roof and the Rip Curl ‘Anodised Ochre’ colour pack, which turns the headlight surrounds and door mirror caps gold.
The ochre touches are said to be inspired by sand dunes and sunshine, and the theme continues inside with a gold band on the exclusive seat upholstery and on the floor mats. You’ll notice Rip Curl graphics on the front doors and rear quarter windows, while four exterior paint choices are available: two greys, white or black.

This special edition is powered by Citroen’s familiar 1.2-litre PureTech petrol engine, producing 108bhp and accelerating from 0-62mph in around 10 seconds. On models with the smallest alloy wheels, this engine can return 51.5mpg.
