Car deal of the week: Ford Focus
Buyacar.co.uk is offering over £4,000 off a brand-new Ford Focus
Britain’s top-selling used car, the Ford Focus, is also a great buy new – especially with over £4,000 off the list price.
BuyACar has slashed the cost of a Focus 1.6 TDCi Titanium from £20,145 to £15,985, with all cars including a full Ford warranty. The five-door hatch gets cruise control, 16-inch alloys and a rear 12V power socket, as well as air conditioning and USB connectivity as standard.
The Focus is the benchmark family hatchback, with newer models providing driving enjoyment as well as comfort and efficiency. The engines produce a good turn of pace, and even entry-level cars can keep up with fast-paced motorway traffic.
The suspension is firm but not uncomfortable, with all cars absorbing bumps and ruts in the road without trouble. Add good sound insulation with a practical cabin, and you’ve got a car that feels luxurious and considerably more spacious than its predecessor.
Up front, the seats are comfortable and the steering wheel can be adjusted for the perfect driving position, while thin front pillars make it easy to see the road when approaching junctions. The stylish interior is logically laid out with plenty of quality materials.
Not only is the Focus well made and good to drive, it’s safe, too. All models score a full five stars in the Euro NCAP safety tests – with the front, side and curtain airbags proving that safety is a priority.
Economy is also high on Ford’s list of priorities, with every model in the Focus range coming with the latest technology to up their efficiency,
Titanium models come with automatic lights and wipers, keyless go, air con, cruise control and hill start assist as standard, and heated front seats are available as an extra for added comfort, as is a glass sunroof and scuff plates.
