The dashboard in the 4C is fairly minimalist, but it’s angled towards the driver, adding to the focused feel of the car. Sadly, some cheap plastics and switchgear borrowed from Fiat mean the Alfa isn’t as classy as a Porsche Cayman inside. The bare carbon-fibre finish does give the interior a sense of occasion, though, while conventional dials are replaced by a TFT screen that displays revs, speed, gear position and trip information.
Leather door pulls, aluminium pedals and a flat-bottomed wheel are nice touches that go some way to matching the car’s flamboyant exterior.
Equipment
Leather seats and cruise control were additional cost options from the factory, and even floor mats were optional too, but air-conditioning and a stereo system are no-cost options. Sat nav isn’t available and the stereo looks and feels like something you’d buy from Halfords, which isn’t good for a near-£50,000 car. There are four different upholstery options for the sports seats.
Options
There are also six colours to choose from when buying a 4C: black, white, red, metallic grey and special-edition white and red colours. You can choose between steel, black and grey alloy wheels, plus there’s a choice of colours for the brake callipers. You can also specify certain elements in carbon fibre, as well as a racing exhaust system and Alfa Romeo racing tyres.
